Ah, "auntie Marilyn." Not professing anymore, and not being in the information loop anymore, I wasn't aware that she had died. I feel for those who knew and loved her. She was my companion in the work for part of a year, and she worked very hard (helping out "uncle" Eldon). I also remember Tom Fredgren: he was a kind brother to me during my first awkward days in the work. It was he, and other younger brothers (at that time) like Larry Smitt (sp?), who gave me hope that the next batch of "older" brother workers would be a kinder lot. I hope you all who knew these well and miss them terribly have comfort in their memories.

Although I do not profess anymore-- I do remember Marilyn Wheeler-- one serman especially I remember at Santee in the early 80's she talked about the titanic and people dying and crying out--
at the time I thought it was especially moving-- now that I have other feelings I dont know what I would think
I have also not heard of her passing and I have tons of family still in the 2x2 cult-- and yes I think it is a cult--

Yes, we probably are a cult - it depends on what a cult means. Jesus certainly would have been called a cult leader. The word used in my bible is "sect." The word "cult" is derogatory, just like "Christian" once was. I suppose I will have to bare the term with pride.
