I know one who was a worker for 64 years. And with discussions with that person. The Way does believe that Jesus IS God. Jesus is the Son of God. That person also said that they preach Jesus. In every discussion I had with that person, it is Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus Jesus. I agree with this person. Jesus is everything in the new covenant. How can they not believe in the deity of Jesus Christ.
Jesus is not God the Son. He is the Son of God. He is God. No one will never find "God the Son" in the Bible. Its just not biblical. Neither is God the Holy Ghost.
There is God the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost. Not God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. That is three gods and is not correct. Again I say, it's God the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Ghost.

That the "overcomers" will only be going out to meet Christ as he returns to his earthly kingdom. Jesus states: "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36) *** For the rapture theory. Just for curosity sake, look up "secret rapture" and there is a writing titled, "The Not So Secret Rapture" which tells how the whole rapture teaching started. The rapture teaching is a fairly new teaching. The rapture is NOT a fairly new teaching. Its been around for hundreds of years. A man by the name of Ephraem of Nisibis( 306-373 A.D.) taught it. Another man named Morgan Edwards (1722-1795) taught it also. It is fairly old. Actually, very old. John Darby did not invent the doctrine.

Could this be God expressing himself. Jesus was also called the word because he was the expression of God. 1 John 5:7 speaks of three that bear witness in heaven, the Father Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. That one would be in agreement.

John 1:1 means just what it says. The Word is God. Jesus is God the Father, but Jesus is the Son of God. Countless times do the apostles refer to Jesus as the Son of God. Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto a son is given:and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
These three are one. Notice that it says "there are three that bear record in heaven." It doesn't say "there are three in heaven." The spirit, and the water, and the blood agrees in one, but the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost are one. It doesn't say they are separate. It doesn't say "in one" [trinity-three in one], but it says "are one." Jesus, the Son of God, is God the Father manifest in the flesh( John 1:14,1 Timothy 3:16).
I do not say "God the Son" because Jesus is never referred to as "God the Son." Many people who Do Not believe that Jesus is God say "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost." I've talked to quite a few that believe this. That is separating and making three gods, and there is only one God. My main reason for saying that though is because Jesus is not referred to as "God the Son."

Thank you for that correction. Most people who I've talked to do not believe that Jesus is God say that often. I so happen to live in an area where many people do not believe Jesus is God.

Matthew 22:44
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Who was the David talking about, when he said the Lord said to my Lord?
In Genesis 1:26 Who was god talking to when He said "Let us make man in our image

I like to think of the 3-in-1 the same way pure marriage is described.
Mat 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain (two), but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. Which was quoted by Christ from Gen 2:24.
(I have no intention of turning this to a marriage/divorce issue; I find parallels between marriage and the 3 in 1.)
Do John Olson and Mary Smith, when they get married, become one flesh? Are they the same person? Are they melded together like being shackled or sewn together so neither one can use the bathroom alone or go through a doorway separately? Not really. The "one flesh" COULD mean that there would be sexual relations or that the becoming one flesh should indicate their commitment for life, but I like to think of it as them becoming the Olsons or the Smith-Olsons or what ever name they like. They are committed to common goals and plan to be a family as long as they both shall live. They live together, enjoy similar goals, morals, ideals, and work toward peace and unity in their household, between themselves and also between the children or others in the household, and likely beyond the walls of their house. I like to think of the 3 Holy entities like this. If I think of God, His Son, & the Holy Spirit as all unified, but 3 members, it is less confusing to me. I have problems thinking of someone (JC) praying to someone (God) that is himself... like talking to himself. My mind fights illogical things.
It appears that by the process of proofs like in Geometry class: The Word was with God, the Word was God. Jesus is the Word. Therefore we can say God is Jesus, Jesus is God. Also if the Word was WITH God, there were 2, if the Word WAS God, that is only one, therefore 2=1, right? My mind isn't big enough to understand this. I'm just going to believe that there is help in both, either, all 3, whatever. If I pray for the help of all 3, whether they act as 3 or as 1 or 2, I'll have what I need anyway.
Maybe after this life, we can all have minds that will understand these things. I hope so.
Best Regards, Couch Potato

I was raised in the Truth and have been reading alot of these subjects you guys are talking about and from what I remember, they only speak on a few subjects and avoid most subjects in the bible. I have found real freedom in the real Jesus and I am saddened by the bondage the Truth people are in. There are so many emotional problems this faith leaves a person with. I am 46 and still am trying to overcome the mental issues they caused me. My parents caused me a lifetime of misery, hurt, no self esteem, and anger. All because of this so called Truth. Is there anyone else that feels this way. I have spent years and years trying to forgive them. I hope someday I can really feel that I have forgiven them for the torment my mom, especially put me through because of how these people control you. Off the subject, but I really need to express myself.]
