My Bible says "the church" rather than "a church", if you ask me which I would prefer to rely on I pick the Bible. ...twist, twist, twist... How on earth am I twisting, go back and read the posts. And if in doubt check what the Bible says about it.

My Bible says "the church" rather than "a church", if you ask me which I would prefer to rely on I pick the Bible. This is a false argument. There are two types of churches... The Church and A church... The Church is the body of Christ that's made up by all believers... A church is an association/organization/group that’s made up of people with a common connection or beliefs... The Friends and Workers Fellowship is A church... The Friends and Workers Fellowship is not The church... Do you see the difference? Exactly the point I've been trying to make. The poster in reply 3, said the best thing to do would be to have no where to go. Then said they would find a real church. If you agree with this then you are saying that the fellowship meetings are not real, i.e. fake or false. The poster then defined a real church as "One that doesn't teach crap in place of truth." I then suggesed reading the Bible to see the real definition of church, as defined in the Bible. Then myself and ilylo discussed "2x2ism". Then I was told we are not talking about "the church", but "a church" I then defined "a church" as another way of saying "a denomination". Then saying that a denomination (real or otherwise) will not get anyone anywhere. Therefore why would it be good to go to a "real church/denomination?" In the Bible there is only 'the church', who has then made up 'a church'?

Since you are removing from your vocabulary terms and phrases that are not in the Bible, then you can no longer use any of the following: - convention
- gospel meeting
- special meeting
- false church
- losing out
- only way
- religious world
- true church
- true ministry
...and I'm sure there are others that fit this list. Oh, yes. You can no longer eat ice cream. Thanks for the heads-up, bryan.

How do you define the friends and workers fellowship by using the term "church"?

So because you don't read it therefore it doesn't exist? what about ice cream... we don't read about ice cream in the bible, does that mean ti doesn't exist? The friends and workers fellowship is A CHURCH just as First Baptist Church of Surfside Beach (http://www.fbcsurfside.org/) is A CHURCH... A real church as the poster was talking about was one that did not uphold 2x2ism doctrines...

same difference…
This might help…
Church The word is used in two senses: the visible and the invisible church. The visible church consists of all the people that claim to be Christians and go to church. The invisible church is the actual body of Christians; those who are truly saved. The true church of God is not an organization on earth consisting of people and buildings, but is really a supernatural entity comprised of those who are saved by Jesus. It spans the entire time of man's existence on earth as well as all people who are called into it. We become members of the church (body of Christ) by faith (Acts 2:41). We are edified by the Word (Eph. 4:15-16), disciplined by God (Matt. 18:15-17), unified in Christ (Gal. 3:28), and sanctified by the Spirit (Eph. 5:26-27).
The friends and workers fellowship is not the invisible church spoken about above… it is a church just as my fellowship and just as the First Baptist Church of Surfside Beach is a church…

My local fellowship is not the invisible church spoken about above…

Don't sweat it Rob, I was watching the Stanley Cup and got bored with the weather report after coverage of the game was over.
Snipers like this have never backed up their own words, and I don't expect that to change.

How about closing this board down for a week. Take a break, then come back and I am sure that you would have forgotten what was so important to argue about in front of the rest of the world.
Nathan, Bryan, Ilylo all take a break so that we can discuss real things instead of all trying to get the last word and prove you are all right.
Bryan drives me crazy trying to always justify himself and never giving up, continuing until death. Breaking people's posts up and pulling every word to bits.
Ilylo, well he seems ok. He is just starting to catch the disease from Bryan though.
Nathan, well he is a 2x2 so could we expect anything better from him. Denial, changing things with every wind of breath, twising scripture to fit his own beliefs. Well, what more do we expect from a 2x2.
Me. well, I am out of here before you start on me.
This board is proof that women should rule the world. I am sure that they would make a better job of it.

teenager, you must have been absent when you changed the topic from "a church" to "the church." Went back and looked, says "a real church", it say neither "a church" or "the church". I guess it takes a sarcastic person to understand one!
