Awwww, reaching into the Lord's meaning of unity as in Ephesians 4. It says there about the different ministering persons who will work with everyone "until we all come together in the unity of faith." An elderly lady who had suffered horrifically with Parkinsonism over half of her life, rwas lying on her deathbed, her final words were, "If you don't understand now,you will." What do you think she meant by that? I believe she meant the constant teaching or feeling one sect is the only one. I thi n k she learned that it's people that Jesus Christ died for. Not earthbound churches. That when it's all said and done. Those faithful in Chrisg will unite in like faith. |

** More and more you sound like an ex-2×2, Jesus plus.There is ONLY One Jesus New Testament apostolic ministry and fellowship. I'm shocked that anyone who occupies an elders seat, think that it takes more than Jesys Christ to save you! It is very plain in the Bible that salvation is by grace through faith. Furthermore it says that faith is also a gift from God. I do not see anywhere that God has proclaimed that any human can save us. He left record that his Son has that eternal life in him. Bibles says Jesus came down from heaven to do the work that his Father sent him to do. And he died with his testimony. "IT IS FINISHED." THEN how can we come back on that to say salvation is by another human? John 1 says that Jesus Christ gave those whom his Father had given to him "the power to be called the sons of God." Please if you can find it, teach us that in the Bible it says that any man "has the power to give to men to be called sons of God " Also, show us where it says that the faith God gives us in in anything or someone besides Jesus Christ. His only begotten Son. I learned this lesson by shocking revelation. During prayer one evening. I was praying for some folks that were radical church goers, but didn't seem to intelligent on Jesus Christ. I'd asked God to 'turn their faith in their earthbound church into faith in Jesus Christ. Quickly, the words came back. "I can't do that. I only give faith in my only begotten Son. Their faith in their church is from within themselves." It can't mix to be switched back and forth. I was in shock for several days, but have had to agree. I thought about saints all over the world in many different ages of time, who had faith in Jezus Christ and barely ever saw the insides of any earthbound church. Circumstances forbade it. You see, when God chooses a person for his own, he will provide thst which they need to be just that. Snd many times they cannot be in fellowship. Though yes. Paul said not to forsake gathering together in fellowship. But there are always human contingencies that occur thay can bloke those said privileges. But if the person's are chosen by God he will keep them. Jesus said his Father would hold his own and no man could take them out of his hand. But all of this was the curse into separating the clergy from the laity. Jesus said he hated the Nicolaitanes. Well sounds like to me he's not approving the separation of preacher and church members. He'd told his disciples they were to serve and not be as the Gentiles who loved to Lord it over those less fortunate. Then the primitive Christian church went right on in to that very thing and 5hat was priests and laity. It was the Roman Catholic Church. Also it doesn't take much understanding to see yhat the workers are sharply set over the friends |
