Helllo camper,
I'm sorry if you thought the comment I had about the worldly boards was in any way a reflection upon you and your belief in God.
You mentioned you had addictions. Therefore, I thought the world board was a place that you might find an understanding ear (and maybe, some help) that you might not find here...on this thread.
I agree with your comments on being honest, and do feel that it's only by honesty that adjustments to knowledge--and truth--CAN become known...And, in fact, it's one of the hardest reasons I find it difficult to "condemn" the workers for their beliefs. (I mean, if everyone--in past generations--sent out the message of: "Uh huh, uh huh--you're right"....then....it just firmed up everything that WAS believed--by them: when--in reality (but hidden) was the message..."It wasn't".
So: now we have a discrepancy--which, maybe, always existed...but...never was "seen". And all kinds of tubulence as the two sides (and all) fight for "truth" to be (or be maintained) in the 2x2 church...(Groan.).... You know...camping (and getting away from all "this)...is beginning to sound like a very good idea!!!

I have to visit this site every couple of months and see whats new. but once again its the same old crap. whine, bit-, complain, argue who is the most righteous, who has been inspired the most by God. I am reminded once again by the visit that my basic beliefs have not changed because God put them there. I am glad that I serve God by myself and that I have no real contact with the friends or with the bitter exes. God help the souls that are living a hell on earth by wasting their time and efforts to promote anti meetings. What a waste of time. God help the souls within the truth who are self righteous in their beliefs that God will only save them. I have seen the truth that is God and Jesus and it is certainly not represented on this site. With very very few exceptions, if I were an innie wanting to be an ex, then an ex like the ones I see here are the last ones I would want to be like. What a mess. If this is what Christians are like toward one another, save me, from them. I think people should pray for this person. She/he is obviously in pain and you cannot hear them crying out and screaming against what has happened to their beliefs? Have you been there? I will pray. If you are a Christian, I hope you pray, too. Christ is Lord, Jessi

I live in a world where God is not inclusive to people who pretend to serve him and try to hide the TV in the closet. My world is much simpler now that God has revealed things to me personally. Not just words from people who interpret the bible as they see it and want everyone else to do the same. Discussion about God and his teachings and his true way is about all aspects of life. Life issues such as sex, money, movies, entertainment, etc are issues that more should discuss because they affect us all and are real issues that everyone faces. Love of money and prestige are real issues within "the truth". Does anyone discuss it ? not much if any ,yet it is a real problem. How about sex. Young people are doing it. Do they know the real reasons why God is against it before marriage. Prob not, because no one will talk about it and a lot of parents are of the attitude that "my little professing johnny would never do that" So real life does have a huge impact on why people profess to know God. These younger generations are changing because the world is more and more accepting. Don't hide your face in the sand and pretend that people are not changing within "the truth" they will as newer generations advance. So talk about real life before "the truth is gone forever" and a new brand of messed up, hide the TV in the closet people come on the scene. Enough of the afraid of the workers attitude and start living life. Salvation does not come from the workers or anyone else. Only from God. Take Care.

Camper, I totally agree. So many subjects are not discussed enough within the truth (love of money, sex, etc).
I'm so glad that I've been able to really explore what I believe. One thing that really sticks out to me in the bible is the verse (excuse me for I cannot properly quote it) that says God appreciates those who are faithful in the least for He can trust them with those bigger things. I think this is especially true when it comes to every day life. When we are faithful in how we deal with our money (helping others, dealing wisely, and not stealing... in whatever shape or form that may be), when we are faithful with our children (in patience, in keeping them healthy, in teaching them the things of Christ), with our job, our marriage, our friends... God appreciates that. I think, so often, people forget that.

Dear with open eyes, Thanks for your post. I have a tendancy to be a realist so when my posts dont delve into the rights or wrongs or arguments against "the truth". The reason is that Gods law applies to all, not just "the friends" or any other religion by itself. Real life is serving God. We all live real life every day. How we treat others, how honest we are, are fundamental basis of serving God. How often do we think about this rather than quibble about who started "the friends" or "Why a worker did something to us" We live in a world where people make mistakes, things are hidden to hide truth. But all we can do is serve God the best we know how and listen to our heart. Look to ourselves for how we compare to God and Jesus. Looking for others faults and shortcomings will not get us a free ticket into heaven. Thanks

I do not have a great relationship with God. I go to him when I need help.IE- dont pray or read very often. I treat others very good. Am basically honest. Do I fit the "christian" profile? Only God knows that. If I died tonight I am not afraid. But will I be with God when I go? dont know for sure!!! Ask 1 billion buddist the same question, ask 500 million catholics, ask 1 billion hindus, they will most certainly tell you "they are right" and will be in a happy place with thier creator. But what within us gives us the absolute certainty of being with God? I think we all need to ask ourselves this question. Why us?What makes us so special? Thank you

camper, it's not because we're special. It isn't because of anything we have done, but because of who He is. That's what saves us. His mercy. That's it. We just say, "Okay, I accept that." From then on, it is His Spirit living inside us that gives us certainty that we are His and that we have been guaranteed an inheritance with Him. The Holy Spirit is a seal that locks us in.
Ephesians 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.
You said you don't know for sure if you will be with God when you go. Would you like to have that assurance? You can.
Blessings, Linda

But what within us gives us the absolute certainty of being with God? I think we all need to ask ourselves this question. Why us?What makes us so special? Dear Camper: If you don't know if you are saved, you most likely are not. God gives total assurance in His Word that HE saves and so HE gets the glory. He died to save his own people for his own glory, so we wouldn’t taint his name (Is 48:11). If you are one of His elect, you will come. God will draws His own to Christ (John 6:44). If one feels he is already pretty good, there is no point in Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. That's why he died. “Living a good life” will not earn heaven. You already know there is a God. All men know this. God made sure of it so they are without excuse (Rom 1:19-20). A Buddhist treats others well and may be basically honest, but that does not save. These are all WORKS (Eph 2:9). If one thinks they are godly by these things, God justifies the UNGODLY (Rom 4:5). Except through Jesus Christ, who died for the remission of sins (Rom 3:25), one will not have eternal life. What man DOES is disgusting to God (Is 64:6-7) and can never save. One can do nothing without Christ (John 15:5) Why us? I don’t know why God chose a worm like me. He chose the most unlikely people in His Holy Word. Crazy people. Murderers. Prostitutes. Immoral people. He will have mercy on whomever he will, not for anything done by man (Rom 9). He is holy and righteous and cannot look at sin. HE makes people righteous. If one does not repent of sin and believe that the Lord Jesus Christ’s blood forgives him, he does not have eternal life. What to do: I prayed and asked God to show me if I was His. He answered me by opening my eyes to the Word. But for those who are not really seeking, They’re probably not His. I pray to God that you are one of His, Camper. Love in the Lord, Jessi
