You said: Peter had a wife. He did have a wife. Matthew 8:14 NKJV - Now when Jesus had come into Peter’s house, He saw his wife’s mother lying sick with a fever. We do not know for sure if she was alive or not. I guess I always assumed she was dead, Especially as common as death was back in those days. I could be wrong, but I almost feel like there would have been more mention of her. Just my feeling, I’ve been wrong before. Sounds like Peter's wife was still alive when Jesus visited. He saw his wife's mother. Not his deseased wife's mother.

I’ve read the verses. Paul said “we” are you saying Paul had a wife, too? You are the first person I know of that has ever read that interpretation into it. Everyone else interprets it as Paul and the other disciples having the 'right' to lead about wife. Some would have exercised that right, others not. Single people have the power/right to marry. Most exercise that right but some don't. Did Paul lead about a sister? This could refer to a blood sister or a handmaiden servant. I don't think Paul led one about but he reinforced his right to do so, irrespective of whether he did or not. In the USA people have a right to carry guns to meetings. Some exercise this right, but others (most?) don't. You have to see the context of most things in the Bible.

I’ve been wrong before, and I’m open to being wrong again. There's nothing wrong with being wrong as long as we have the right attitude towards it, which you have shown. We learn more by our mistakes than unchallenged opinion. The Australian poster 'enuf' has incredible insight into most things. His opinions are generally sound.

I also believe the Bible is the living, Word, because the Holy Spirit translates it to our heart. I just read a very very familiar verse that I could quote by heart, but in reading and meditating, I was revealed something different, something fresh, for what I’m dealing with right now. There are some things that are learnable, such as the Peter subject. then there are things that you just have to feel and read, and God helps reveal things to us for what we were going through at that time of our life. It’s really amazing to me that that we can read one book our whole life, and get fresh bread every time you crack it open. Even some of the old timers in my meeting marvel at this.

New advice- strip the overseers of their unbiblical authority immediatly!!!!! Decent, Godly elders appointed by each meeting in consensus to take over leadership immediatly!!!!!! Workers- get A JOB!!!!!! Later one can choose missionaries from the individual meetings, appointed by the individual meeting.
I am untterly disgusted in what has come to light recently on Wings for Truth!!!!!!!!! I won't be putting another foot in any meeting with my spouse!!!!!!! This is righteos anger!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, there are lots of things wrong with being wrong. Some wrong lands you in jail. Or in hell. It depends on how long you are wrong and if you were willingly ignorant or negligent in learning and understanding or too proud to learn from others what you should have known. Workers have know for decades that they were hiding wrong. That is why they hid it.

I don't think you got the context?
