Setting aside my opinions/views on transsexuals, I’ll just comment on your ‘opinion of my objection.’ First off, I don’t think your observation is necessarily wrong. However, pedophiles are strewn out throughout all societies, all religions, all institutions (secular and religious). If we are to vote with our feet, then we’d be abandoning all institutions: political, educational, religious, the entertainment industry, and in and on. It’s not that there are pedophiles; it’s how we deal with the problem. Sweeping crimes under the rug is wrong. You are absolutely correct about that. Personally, if I knew of any cases I’d report it immediately to Law Enforcement. I’ve never been aware of a case though (of course that doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened.) I’m not disagreeing with you that wrongs have happened. |

My problem with claiming Christian’s are hypocrites just because there may be predators in their ranks is this: you don’t call the entire flick of sheep ‘wolves’ simply because there is a wolf present (in sheeps’’ clothing.) You can’t condemn an entire community guilty just because a creepy person hides among them. I admit this applies to 2x2s as well as other groups. |

It’s not based on accurate facts, for sure. It’s classified as ‘Opinion’ for a reason. It’s entirely the author’s opinion, and not much more than that. Homosexuality has been around since the 'beginning' but it's not always been so hated as it has become with the birth of Judaic/Christian/Islamic religions. Homosexuals in a community many times held a position of honor. Shamans, medicine men etc. It's modern day religions that have caused such a hatred for those that are attracted to their own gender. It's something that needs to end imo, but it's hard for those who are religious to do that when their holy book speaks against it. Judaism has done so much damage to those who are attracted to their own gender because it's Judaism that Christianity and Islam are copying and using as their blueprint for religious belief. |
