The donkey said to the tiger: - "The grass is blue".
The tiger replied: - "No, the grass is green."
The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.
Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout: - "His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?".
The lion replied: - "True, the grass is blue."
The donkey hurried and continued: - "The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him."
The king then declared: - "The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence."
The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating: - "The Grass Is Blue"...
The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion: - "Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green."
The lion replied: - "In fact, the grass is green."
The tiger asked: - "So why are you punishing me?".
The lion replied: - "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because it is not possible for a brave and intelligent creature like you to waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question."
The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense... There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.
When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.

I finnally found an exit with a gas station, was able to fill the tank, make it up a small hill to a strip mall and a wind break behind one of the buildings where sirvived the night.
A miracle? Nah, just a new car as well as a few breaks.

I thought I performed a miracle once. It was midnight on a barren hilltop in eastern PEI. It was -30oC, clear sky, full moon, and high winds. I got a flat tire. (1) I got out of the car, got the spare out of the trunk, and got back in the car to warm up. (2) I got out and set the jack in place and got back in the car. (3) I got out and cranked the car up, and got back in the car. (4) I got out and loosened the bolts, and got back into the car. (5) I got out and set the good wheel on the car and started one nut in place to keep it in place. (6) I got out and tightened the nuts. (7) I got out and lowered the car and threw everything in the trunk and sat in the car until my hands got warm enough to drive the rest of the way home. Not a single car passed me while I was performing this task.
It doesn't get that cold in Las Vegas.

It was court day in a small Irish town and the judge was patiently listening to counsel when a donkey brayed loudly outside. "one at a time please" said the judge.

Some people just can't face the truth, -the truth that there really is not any supernatural being no big daddy that is taking care of them. They are really on their own. Admittedly it is not easy to face.

I don’t think it is a case of not facing the truth. I think it is a case of the mind being conditioned to accept one’s religious beliefs as truth on the basis of faith rather than drawing on other more reliable pointers such as evidence, education, observation, critical thinking and reasoning. This religious conditioning wraps the believer in a protective cloak to prevent their beliefs being exposed as false, a cloak which resists questioning, information and rational debate and instead seeks solace in the form of theology, rhetoric, riddle talking and scripture quoting. Fortunately not every cloak is impenetrable and for some it is possible for reason and evidence to shatter faith and for the real truth to shine through. The real truth that stands tall in the face of scrutiny rather than crumbling as religious truths inevitably do. The non believers here are testament to the crumbling that religious truths are prone to. Matt10

I think the Church is meant to show you are not on your own, but sadly it only shows big daddy dogma and threats if you don't see it that way. Just my opinion.

I believe that the "Church" -all religions, - were created by people who didn't understand why things happen as they did, -neither the good or the bad.
From the time our brain capacity had grown to be able to remember the past, -we realized we had a future and became concerned about that future.
There was often not anything that they could see that caused some things to happen.
This resulted in an attempt to try to figure out what they may have done (or not done) that had affected what happened.
They hoped that in some way they could control what happened by their own behavior.
Thus they created "gods" that they hoped they could appeal to for help by the use of rituals that would appease those unseen entities.

I agree, but by Jesus's day the idea of God in us and one sacrifice for all time was something entirely different. I would say to a certain extent we can control what happens in the future with our own behaviour but books like Job suggest even when we things are out of our control our behaviour still matters. The Church should be people who trust that the gracious compassionate merciful slow to anger abounding in love character displayed in their lives is the best way to live life, not a witchcraft like manipulation centre of like minded people.

People need to understand what evidence is and the value it has when examining matters. In assessing evidence one has to have a sound, unbiased mind, without agenda or preconceived notions. Evidence is all means, exclusive of mere argument, which tends to prove the truth of a matter under examination. Evidence must be sufficient and it must be appropriate. It must be fairly looked at. Depending upon other facts and circumstances (other pieces of evidence), the same piece of evidence may be used to prove or disprove a point in question.
For example. Nathan claims the Earth is hollow. If he was to visit this hollow Earth and brought nothing back to prove it, this along with other pertinent facts and circumstances, could be used to show that the Earth is indeed hollow, despite the fact that he had nothing to show for it! If he brought back rock samples or whatever, it could be claimed the Earth isn't hollow, otherwise there wouldn't be any rocks there. Therefore, so far, Nathan having nothing to support his claims that the Earth is hollow, could actually be an item in a chain of evidence which does indeed prove his case!
Mock ye not Nathan, at least until all the facts and circumstances are known!

The hollow earth theory has as much credibility as the flat earth theory and that is none whatsoever.

On Point 2, I could never understand all those Flat Earthists? What with all these mountains and valleys, how can the Earth be described as being flat?
