I could say the same of CNN - that they are a propaganda news source for the Democratic party. I believe neither - I believe FOX leans right and CNN leans left. I appreciate at least that one news agency was willing to report when Trump did something good. I try to listen to a variety of news outlets, but Fox turns off the minute I hit it and Tucker Carlson pops up.
I usually listen to CBS for local & National news then turn to PBS, -then listen to Ammapour later at 11 pm.
Then I read our Peoria paper in the morning.
Sometimes I feel news saturated & think I should go on a no-news diet, -but I never do!

I've been told there was a time when you could simply hear the news and then decide what you thought about it. Anymore you have to do such a lengthy series of checks and double checks just to determine if the "news" you just read was even factual, let alone bias and/ or misleading. Couple that with a 2 party, zero sum game and it just becomes overwhelming and draining.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6YeFmowxUUThe verified Hunter Biden laptop shows him using racial slurs. Thank goodness it isn't Hunter Trump!!! It's a good old democrat, the historical party of systemic racism that has somehow sold us on the b**s*** divisive hypocritical rhetoric of group identity. Long live Western Civilization, and individual rights, liberty and responsibility. Enough is enough.

It's not the responsibility of the accused to prove the crime. It was the responsibility of the Trump team to provide the proof. They did indeed investigate, and they gave a Bill Barr-style report on the case -- as Wally would say, containing enough grains of truth that the lie was believed. And for the center-claiming idealists -- here's the detailed media report. Toobin, Jeffrey, "Fraud Guaranteed", True Crimes and Misdemeanors, Doubleday, New York, 2020. PP.290-297 It's the responsibility of the media to uncover the truth, and actively investigate potential compromises concerning the potential head of state. They enthusiastically took up the challenge with Trump, painting him guilty of Russian collusion for the better part of 3 years with the result being a massive goose egg. At the very least, the notion that the future president's son got 50K a month from a foreign company for doing absolutely nothing OUGHT to be slightly concerning. Frankly, the media are collectively a sham. The Russia Hoax - officially a hoax perpetrated on behalf of the Hillary Clinton campaign youtu.be/i0qjICPWRSA President Trump had to fight this nonsense for his entire presidency. The Biden Laptop - officially authenticated and showing that "The Big Guy" Biden was to receive kickbacks from a Chinese country. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7piJ-9YyLBI The press deliberately delayed and sat on the story, instead focusing solely on Trump/Russia trying to cook up reasons that he was acquitted of impeachment, for the express reason of getting Joe Biden elected. Now here we are. Illegal immigration went from a 70 year low to shanty-towns on the border. Joe Biden can't say a complete sentence, and the press has formally complained that he doesn't ever seem to take questions. Biden decides to allow the Russian pipeline (which Trump did NOT), and shuts down the Keystone Pipeline. Energy prices spike in the US, disproportionately affecting the middle and lower class (myself included). We went from zero attacks on US troops in Afghanistan in 18 months (because the Taliban were scared of Trump) and a demand that every nail and screw be taken with us when we left to leaving Americans, allies and military equipment and losing 13 service members. And Biden's courageous heroic response was to authorize a drone strike which killed a dozen aid workers and children. The January 6th rioters are looking more and more like patriots, and the Democratic party is looking more and more like treasonous little weasels. America is back! Just make sure we all act shocked that the Taliban doesn't include women and minorities in the government. Why... didn't they learn any of our righteous progressive values?

www.foxnews.com/politics/andrew-yang-quits-democratic-partyYang, One of the last intelligent and truly good people in the Democratic Party leaves the Democratic party. I recall thinking that he reminds me of Obama. Quite progressive, but with a heart and a brain. Somebody I can support even though I'm probably more conservative than him. No worries though, with the likes of Joe Biden and AOC, the Democratic Party is in good hands.

I cannot comment on the heart and brain aspect but it would be good to have the US investing in and smoothing the transition to an automated society. Plus I'd be keen to see UBI in action. Theoretically if everyone qualifies regardless of other income it shouldn't be a disincentive to work like some of our payments are. (At the moment we have some covid-19 payments which work out to be more than what the person would be earning working.)

Although true that the "covid-19 payments may be more than what the person would be earning working," let's not forget the meager inadequate income those same people were making before Covid!
Often both parents had to work just to provide the necessities of food & shelter for their family. That disparity needs to be taken into consideration and something done about that factor before we start judging the people.

That disparity needs to be taken into consideration and something done about that factor before we start judging the people. We have a minimum wage of $20.33 p/h and healthcare etc so income is not quite so bad here. However what has happened is people - often students who previous worked 1-2 four hour shifts a week became eligible for a Covid payment worth easily twice as much. Of course they don't want to seek work. It's not a judgement of the people, it is a broken system.

I'm getting ready to start a second job Monday, to pick up an extra 12-15 hours a week. Inexplicably, energy costs (gasoline, propane) jumped significantly and since I commute to work my salary cannot keep up. I just paid more for 250 gallons of propane than I did for 400 gallons the last 4 years. The dollar/ gallon gas spike coupled with continual Healthcare costs don't help either. These sorts of things are nothing of course, compared with the shock and outrage our Secretary of State registered that the Taliban aren't forming an inclusive government with ethnic minorities and women. Big picture I guess.
On the plus side, our beloved administration can boast that another job was created!

It seems to me there is a gap between where transport wants to be and where we are now fuel wise. This lack of investment is pushing prices up all around the world so I hear. I guess similar problems were noted by those that cleaned the horsesh1t off the streets of town.

However, when they lift sanctions on Russia's Nord Stream pipeline while vetoing Keystone, it does not inspire confidence. It's so ironic. Lifting sanctions Trump placed on Russia, and Trump is the Russian operative? Almost everything these clowns do is incomprehensible and incompetent. We need a space-age style solidarity in a push for clean energy. And this administration is unfit to clearly deliver it.

It looks like they were building Nord stream 2 as early as 2018. .wikipedia.org/wiki/Nord_Stream It's a great incentive for Western Europe to find alternative energy sources. The sun is pumping out huge amounts of power. Humans just have to figure out how to harness and use it in an economical manner. Other sources of power are wind and tide.

Oh, but I'm sure they are included - in accordance with Islamic law.
