One of the harms of religion is "US vs. Them" thinking. For many years Jews lived in the ghettos of Europe were they lived a substandard life. Their rights rights and quality of life was limited by society. Now Israel has made Gaza an Arab ghetto. There is a wide opportunity and quality of life gap between Gaza and the rest of Israel. Unless both sides let go of their extreme religious views, both sides will perpetuate the war and hate. The good news is both Arabs and Jews are becoming more secular and abandoning their tribal pasts. It seems to me that the Jews who suffered their holocaust now find some pleasure in seeing the Arabs also suffer as they have the means to end their suffering. In this last revolt, Netanyahu is the big winner prior to the upcoming election. Both Jews and Arabs want peace talks to continue as this keeps the money flowing to both sides. If peace broke out, the American's might stop their aid and both sides would need to find a new model to fuel their economy. Gaza: The world’s largest open-air prison

In this case easier means you would actually agree on who the American people chose for their president. If I was American I would want to vote republican, but the party of Lincoln remains unelectable until it can be purged of Trumpism and respect the constitution. the only reason they might not be electable in the future is the probable fraud that went on and now that it has probably been gotten away with they'll do it again and even more so... sore loser It's okay though -- I was a sore loser after Hillary lost in 2016. It lasted a while; maybe 6 months? Or 12. Or 48

The Republican party will need to respect the constitution and the rule of law before they will be electable. Trump is a loser, and would have refused to concede no matter what. He tried to turn your republic into a monarchy, and failed. He gave indication long before election day that he would never concede defeat. The people who still believe that haven't woken up to the fact that their prophet was a fake.

Gaza: The world’s largest open-air prisonI remember when residents of Gaza commuted into Israel to work each day. By electing Hamas, a terrorist organisation sworn to the destruction of Israel, the Gazan people imprisoned themselves. If Gaza is a prison, then where do they get a couple thousand rockets every few years, and where do they get the resources to build the extensive tunnel networks that also need to be destroyed every few years? It should be noted that their Arab neighbour Egypt also restricts the Gazan border. This conflict will continue for as long as Hamas fires rockets into Israel, and will stop as soon as Hamas declares a ceasefire.

Damn! I must have missed that! I would have loved to come!
But not after the election. That's only for cry-baby losers.

So apparently, wally, -you don't think that we as citizens of the U.S. should have the right march or protest against injustices or for the rights of people?
I have been in several marches and protests myself both in D.C. and locally in my own area. You think that I shouldn't have that right to march in the streets?
That was what Kamala Harris was saying.
But you don't believe we have that right?

nothing wrong with marching its the 2,000+ injured police officers, 25-30 dead, 100's if not thousands injured and 1-2 billion in damages that is the problem, especially when compared to the 1 day jan 6th riot where 1 died by violence 4 by medical issue and 140 officers were injured and 30 million in damages done...

Hold it right there Wally!
I asked you for evidence of where Kamala Harris said what you were accusing her of: "encouraged the rioters of 2020 to continue their rioting, looting and burning.."
She did NOT say that! -you are the one in the wrong for accusing her of saying something she did not say.
...and further more it is those kinds of statements that you continually make which are the very reason that I can't depend on the veracity of anything else you claim.

You are the one putting words in her mouth trying to claim she was condoning 'the rioting, looting and burning.." That was NOT what she said! If you took in any of what she said you would know she was talking about people having the right to demonstrate and protest, -yes, in the street if necessary for their rights and indeed that often seems to be the only way that we can obtain those rights.
But marching & protesting is NOT the same as "rioting, looting and burning.." YOU, wally, you are the one putting THOSE words in her mouth! As I have said, I have been in several marches and protests but none that consisted of any "rioting!"
Try to understand the difference between the two!
Those people marching for Trump on Jan. 6 were perfectly within their rights to march & protest. It became a case of rioting when they crossed the line & stormed the capital!

An interesting comment by a historian... Justice in Ancient Rome and Justice in the Modern American RepublicThe trial of the century took place in Rome in 70 B.C. It featured the two most renowned legal minds of the day, the up and coming thirty-six year old Marcus Tullius Cicero for the prosecution, and the venerable Quintus Hortensius Hortalus for the defense. The defendant was Gaius Verres, formerly governor of the province of Sicily. It was generally expected that a Roman governor profit from his position, but Verres’ degree of corruption was off the charts, even by the standards of the late Roman Republic. Roman juries were notoriously corrupt and it was routine for rich defendants to bribe their way out of difficulties. Cicero, however had mountains of evidence against Verres. One event that stands out is that Verres crucified a merchant. As the man hung from the cross he repeatedly screamed “I am a Roman citizen! I am a Roman citizen!” It was against both law and custom to execute a Roman citizen by crucifixion, such a dire punishment was reserved for slaves and foreigners. Such was the case against Verres that all the money he could use to bribe the jurors would avail him nothing. After a few days Hortensius advised his client to flee Rome, and Verres took ship to Marseilles where he lived in exile until Marc Antony had him executed decades later. Which brings us to the up-coming trial of former President Donald Trump. It is an open and shut case. We have all witnessed how he repeatedly lied and told his followers that he had won the election and had been cheated out of it by massive fraud. We have all witnessed how he exhorted his followers to go to the Capitol and disrupt the ceremony that was about to take place to certify the election. We have all witnessed how his followers invaded and ransacked the Capitol building searching for Congress people with the stated intention of doing them harm. We have all observed the lax response of law enforcement to the insurrection and the total lack of action on the part of the former President who watched the event on television. There is no possible way that any reasonable person can acquit former President Donald Trump of serious wrongdoing. And yet it appears that he will be acquitted at the upcoming trial. Forty-five Republican Senators have publicly opposed the proceedings. This purely a political posture as they are afraid that their voting base will turn on them if they vote to convict the former President. Political expediency trumps justice for these Senators. It seems tragic and shocking to me that justice had a better chance of being achieved in corrupt late Republican Rome than it has in the modern American Republic.

if it was being used as a communications center for hamas and such it was a legit target. groups like hamas are well known for using civilians and civilian sites to hide behind as shields...
