I could be wrong Annan but I think perhaps God has gave up on the workers after he realized they were to lame to have an oversight group to keep them in check.

Definitivement. Try reading some of it. I studied it in college. If I remember correctly it was a mix of French, Saxon and Danish. Yes. From 1066 on for centuries the language in the king's realm and government was all French. And the language among the commoners was Anglo-Saxon. Unintelligible to modern English speakers. As French and Anglo-Saxon merged, the peasants learned lots of French words and used them in their Anglo-Saxon/Germanic grammar style, and eventually produced what was called "Middle English" -- Chaucer's language. Out in the field it was called a hog (Origin & history I From Middle English hog, from Old English hogg , hocg) In the palace it was called porc, Old French for "pork". That's why English has so many words today, duplicates (one from French, and one from Anglo-Saxon) That's how English gets to be a Germanic language with 60% of its vocabulary from old French. BTW, hus-band in Anglo-Saxon means "house slave".

Yes -- by the time the French conquered England, Anglo-Saxon was the language of England. That was the language of the Angles and Saxons (Germanic people from Denmark and northern Germany) who had previously conquered England and drove all the Celtic people who did not assimilate with them off into Scotland and Wales. Those versions of Gaelic survive in all three countries in varying degrees. My first major was English Language and Linguistics.

Actually, she was the only one in the house who couldn't speak French. She hardly knew what to do when our daughter had friends in and they got into arguments. She also had fun trying to speak to her teacher. The teacher called one day and all she could say in English was "Heidi missing". My wife was in a panic, so I raced down to the school and learned that she should have said, "Heidi missed her bus."

Maybe you should take a trip down under, and see how diametrically opposed people down here are to your thinking.
We all know the origins of things like the Christmas Tree, St Nick, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny etc, and we know the dates aren't right.
But what things were does not extrapolate out now to make things what they are. Things change their meaning over time. Most "Friends" down under enjoy Christmas, have a Tree with presents under it, and does not spur any thoughts of paganism, but instead foments great family memories, and point people to think about the events of 2000ish years ago.
We had a US worker here once who tried preaching against the celebration of Christmas at a Convention here, and my understanding is that he got told to not mention it again. I do know for a fact that one person, who had only just started to come to meetings and professed only a couple of weeks before convention, was there when this happened, and it turned him away. (I happen to know the person and his back story, and I can fully understand why he reacted the way he did. I felt so sorry for him)
That's not Nathan's problem. Ive heard many workers here in the US preach against Christmas very strongly. We trust the workers to faithfully convey God's message. If God wanted to make it ok to celebrate Christmas, the workers would say so. When we hear of places with a lot of worldliness including sports, Christmas, music, alcohol, dancing, etc., it is an in indication that they are being led astray by false shepherds. Your recommended professing Wally, who you uphold, knows more about movie stars and TV programmes than anyone I know who has connection to the church. Yeahhhh. There must be a false shephered there somewhere according to your bizarre reasoning.

And then there is this: Mary Trump, former President Trump's niece, said Thursday that she doesn’t see her cousins connecting with the GOP should they decide to run for office. In an interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Mary Trump said former White House adviser Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. don't have the kind of charisma as her uncle. “I don't see anybody else at the top of the Republican Party who has the same kind of sway with other, with their voters, and it's certainly not, certainly not my cousins,” Mary Trump said. “It would be like lightning striking four times in the same place. I don't see it happening,” she added. “They don't have the reach, they don't have the connections. And again, without [Donald Trump] they don't have the power either,” she went on to say. “So, if they want to try, that would be interesting because it would tell us a lot about the current state of the Republican Party, if they were accepted.” Mary Trump, an outspoken critic of the former president, has said she thinks her uncle will run for another term in 2024. Late last year, she was very clear that she didn’t think her uncle would run again. But during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper last week, Trump said her opinion has changed, citing Republicans who continue to echo the former president’s false claims about the 2020 election being stolen from him. She noted during the CNN interview that several GOP-led states have passed legislation restricting ballot access in the wake of the election, which she said “may rig the system even more in the Republicans’ favor.” “If Donald gets to the point ... where he feels that he can’t lose, why wouldn’t he run?” Mary Trump said.

Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment. Because you have to deal with everyone that doesn't have it.
