A vaccine does quite a good job too. If there was a chance that it would kill your daughter would you still administer it to them? As with everything else in life, it would all depend on the risk factor.

If you have a daughter or a son and there was a chance that Covid-19 could kill your child (and we know from experience that it has killed children) and there was a vaccine that could deter your child from that fate, -would you still not administer it to your child?
I have children and I did not want them to have to go through the measles and whopping cough as I had as a child, -so I had them vaccinated against those diseases as well as polio and other diseases that had killed many children in the past.

Do you mean THIS "Joel Osteen?" Prosperity gospel criticism:
Osteen's sermons and writings are sometimes criticized for promoting prosperity theology, or the prosperity gospel, a belief that the reward of material gain is the will of God for all pious Christians.
Its a quote, don't get your panties in a bunch!, take from it what YOU will. That is your answer, -"don't get your panties in a bunch?"
What did I say in my post that should warrant such an impolite remark?

What "things" am I "trying to to talk about" that I "don’t understand?"
Are you scientist or professional where you might know more than I do about vaccines?

Qxmen, -you ask the question; "who even looks at profiles?"
My answer is: "I do."
Now; -how about you answering MY questions?
"How much do you know about any research I have done or not done?" "Do you have a job or profession where it has included research?"
You also asked the question: "are they (profiles) backed by 100 points of ID?" I suppose that depends on how honest the person is and how much information about themselves that they don't mind giving on what is a relative public forum.
Mine is accurate except for the flippant remark about where I live, -which I assume everyone would realize it was just that: -a flippant remark.

Dwelling in the wilderness of academy seeking what mankind can now know about the first century Judean history may seem a waste of time better spent elsewhere. Why I have been drawn to it I can't really say. But it does put me at odds with others when they try to preach to what I know and what I don't know; much less what I'm currently struggling with. And on this forum I try to help further others by confiding that contrary to first impressions, New Testament writings are perfectly rational, spoilt by a literal reading and further complicated by intellectual sophistications, be they named spirituality, philosophy, scholastics, academics, harmonizing, or simply fraud. Most of the time I don't even say what I believe but rather here is what others say about the subject.

Random House, New York, 2013 Yes Bob my hard copy went with my library to my Nephew years ago but just recently I downloaded the Kindle version and I noticed it has an endorsement that claimed "believer and skeptic alike will find surprising, engaging, and original.” Q. Why did you title your biography of Jesus of Nazareth Zealot? A. In Jesus' world, zealot referred to those Jews who adhered to a widely accepted biblical doctrine called zeal. These “zealous” Jews were strict nationalists who preached the sole sovereignty of God. They wanted to throw off the yoke of Roman occupation and cleanse the Promised Land of all foreign elements. Some zealots resorted to extreme acts of violence against both the Roman authorities and the Jewish ‘collaborators,” by which they meant the wealthy Temple priests and the Jewish aristocracy. Others refrained from violence but were no less adamant about establishing the reign of God on earth. There is no evidence that Jesus of Nazareth was himself a violent revolutionary (though his views on the use of violence were more complex than it is often assumed). However, Jesus’ actions and his teachings about the Kingdom of God clearly indicate that he was a follower of the zealot doctrine, which is why he, like so many zealots before and after him, was ultimately executed by Rome for the crime of sedition.
