How many of the four students who offered for the work were accepted? Was one of them Wally? ** haha... Two of them offered to the same tough nut to crack overseer like the one refused Wally offered. One of them with drew from the workers waiting list,0 was my brother. My family from Vietnam wanted me to sponsor 5 of them to come to America because they want a better life in America the an under the Communist govt. I had been workers waiting list for 5 years and my brother 1 year. My brother wanted me to keep on waiting and he will take his name off the workers waiting list so, he could be the sponsor to bring our family from Vietnam to America. My brother started a family and they sponsored my family and they came to America in 1990. They are doing good these days. I had offered for the work to the same overseer as Wally did, Tharold. He was tough NUT to crack and very difficult be around. I had my share of tough time with him also! I had to mined to Oregon and offered for the work again in 1996 to Howard Mooney and was accepted in the work 6 months later. If Wally had come to Oregon, Howard M. Would have taken him in the work. We called Howard Mooney "Barnabas" in our genration, he loves to give workers, ex-worker second and third chances. Howard M. Was so loveable, kind and compassionate overseer. He was 1 in millions overseer. Very good Nathan. I'm impressed. I can now see just why Wally rubs shoulders with yourself.

I prayed to God what I should do? After Tharold stalled me for two years after 1984. I talked to Uncle Leo, whom I had offered for the work on the island of Guam in 1980. When I moved to Seattle, I offered again to The Tharaoh S. in 7/1980 and accepted in the work in 1984... Because of misunderstanding or at my request for delay until I take care of my family situation and God granted my wish. After two years, I didn't hear from Tharold I talked to Uncle Leo about my situation with The role and he told me to talk to Howard M. I didn't know any friend or worker in Oregon so, I didn't want to do it. I prayed to God for guidance and one night in my dream God said "Go, to Oregon!" So, I wrote to The role and told him I am moving to Oregon. I went to Oregon and talked to Howard M. of what had happened with That old and he gave me the green light to start in the work in Oregon. He had arranged for me to stay with the church elders' home and Craig J. The senior worker in Portland to find work for me. After 6 month in Portland I started in the work at Boring 1986-94. The church elders son was my 3rd companion; and Craig J. was my 5th year companion in the work. God had taught me so much about overseers, the workers, the inner working of the ministry of Jesus and 2x2 workers. I LOVE my time in the work I had learned much from the workers, they gave me a good foundation of Jesus truth and Way, the ministry and the worship gathering... God has shown me more revelation of the Christ/God AFTER I left the work.

How many of those who professed do you know are still professing today. Does your brother still profess and go to meetings? Did you miss this post Nathan? Care to answer it?

No, my brother and his wife became one of the youngest Wed. Night and Union meetings in Porland. He is no longer professing! Got divorce it was a messy situation. He has remarried. Well, he knows where to go if he wants to be right with God. Probably, less than half of the 12 professing.

To be turned down must have been VERY disappointing , especially after struggling with “being willing “ etc , and steady calls for more workers but still probably for the best We talk to professing people , who are well up in age and are still bothered big time , by being rejected for the work , but if they had been accepted , I doubt their health would have held up , and make situation worse than it is . Of course , there are many who did start out , and it wasn’t at all what they expected , with the politics etc etc and that’s a big disappointment too . So it is Alvin I

You might NOT like what you see and hear, Wally. Like you said all things work together for good to them that love God. He knows your good heart, wally and He will give you inner joy! So, BLOOM where God has planted us in this world.

If you believe the workers speak for God then you would have gotten the same answer no matter who you approached. And you couldn't have taken your television in the work with you...so yes, it turned out for the best.

Still have problems, always will have. Nobody has any idea who is running the show.
A good Organizational Structure facilitates achievement of the objective of every individual through proper coordination of all activities. Reduces the overall conflicts between the individuals and team members

Some of the less faithful friends would go out and purchase the largest CRT computer monitors that they could find and hook them up to video game platforms and VCRs to watch worldly movies. It did not have a TV tuner so somehow that passed muster with the workers in their areas. Though I suspect that had more to do with the amount of monetary contributions they made.

It is rather interesting. I've a professing relative in Texas who had the workers play video games and watch the Super Bowl on their big-screen. System kinda breaking down a bit! 😂

Donald Trump gets around in the Beast. It's equipped with rocket-propelled grenades, night vision optics, a tear gas cannon, and pump-action shotguns. It can also fire smoke grenades to counter grenade or anti-tank missile attacks. But being built like a tank has its costs. The nine-tonne Beast is so heavy that it can only do a maximum of 60MPH, or 97km/h.
Sort of makes Wally's Pop Gun look a bit paltry.

Reminds of the 90s when that computer in Europe was called The Beast. Supposed to have spilled out 666 sometime too. Also something about the Russian president being the beast due to a birth mark on his forehead. And then their was Kissinger, someone worked out 666 on him and he was said to be the beast. Not to mention the fact of the planets lining up in 1992 and there was going to be something major happen in the skies. Now we've got Trump.
