So, the first shots were fired against the British by Americans at the North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts.
But as always in most sayings of the kind it is much more complicated than that.
BTW, - the picture in my mind of the "North Bridge" was nothing near as small it really was!

actually history says there are conflicting reports on this..
lexington claims earlier in the day shots were fired at their town first before concords
and BOTH sides there in lexington claim the other side shot first...
i'd say the best answer is "unknown"...

According to a book I’m reading it was neither. The ideas rejecting tyranny that underscored the American revolution were Scottish.
St Andrews American Revolution Donald e Wilson

Yes, it was much more complicated than just what happened on the bridge.

Donald opens chapter 1
The war against Scotland’s past is well documented, unlike the Scottish legacy in America. Six factors converge to eclipse level the Celtic legacy in the US:
New England’s writers dominated early American writing
Terms in US history such as English and British history are used interchangeably
Cultural views of politics religion and history changed by the time historians attempted to correct the record
US constitutional history of the late 19th and 20th centuries consisted not of scholarship but of political propaganda efforts
Attempts to recover US constitutional history in the late 20th century have been reactions to rather than corrections of the earlier histories
In today’s politically correct atmosphere white men are usually examined as a homogeneous group

This makes everything so clear.

Interesting Questions
Who wrote down Jesus words when he was alone in the wilderness with Satan? Or in the garden of Gethsemane?

Interesting Questions Who wrote down Jesus words when he was alone in the wilderness with Satan? Or in the garden of Gethsemane? easy peasy...Christ could have relayed those to others AFTER he was resurrected. you remember the part where it says he spoke to them and it says all the books in the world couldn't hold all the information he passed on to them...

Interesting Questions Who wrote down Jesus words when he was alone in the wilderness with Satan? Or in the garden of Gethsemane?ma easy peasy...Christ could have relayed those to others AFTER he was resurrected. you remember the part where it says he spoke to them and it says all the books in the world couldn't hold all the information he passed on to them... This verse. John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
That verse is very hard to believe. The library of Alexandria alone was believed to have housed between 200,000 and 700,000 books. The library of congress alone has 39 million cataloged books. The world could hold a very very great number.

The voice of a Christian apologist. nothing wrong with that... Not if you recognize it's just an opinion.
