*** I see. So saying people should be hung is not evil? You are one mixed up nutcase, Nathan. Hanging is one choice. In your case you are risking being taken to court by people you defame, such as the Australian Prime Minister. Hopefully that happens. You will see the consequences of talking a load of horsesh-.

The character of the satan has no power over Job or God. Thus, it is God doing all the ill to Job. Just like you most people misunderstand the Book of Job: Like you they think God has ordered the moral universe to run by the retribution principle. On this account, Job’s suffering must, therefore, be the result of some evil for which he’s being punished. What you have failed to grasp here from the dialogues of the 24 chapters is Job's friends never coming to any resolution about their debate, which opens up the possibility that they are all wrong. Because the facts are God is just and good, and Job is innocent. And the problem of misunderstanding resides in what needs to be examined is their assumption that all suffering is a form of divine punishment and all abundance is a form of reward. Thus, The Satan is a mere tool of God! that wouldn't be the truth.... Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. here we have God giving satan authority to do anything to job except for directly hurting him and guess what thats exactly what he did...all satan and nothing God did... Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. here we have satan challenging God to actually do something to job himself but as we can see God doesn't take the bait... First elsewhere I stated that satan was a proper name and it means adversary. I see now that is a bit confusing. Lets try this. If you, I and God where in court and you where the prosecuting' attorney in Hebrew you would be the satan. However your proper name would still be Wally. The Bible in Job doesn't tell us who the satan was. Job gives us the picture all that dialogue between whoever the satan was and God took place in Gods command room where all of his household come in and out doing Gods' work. In Job the reader is transported to God’s divine command center, the heavenly throne-room, where God’s executive staff reports for duty. This is a very familiar image in the Old Testament that describes God as the sovereign King over all creation (see 1 Kings 22:13-23) He’s like a king who daily assembles his officers, surveys the land, and then sends them off for various missions. From that command room God’s subservient divine beings (called “sons of God”) report for duty as usual, and that one standing among them is “the satan.” There is no way one of them would break character and challenge God. Thus all that the satan did was at Gods command.

Satan doesn't report hardly anything to God, but He knows his every moves, his plans and what he is up to.
God and Christ are Satan Creators, they are ONE kingdom above him. Satan knows it is useless to fight against the Godhead but he tries to make much of a mess of God's plans as possible, to deceive His children to loose faith and leave them and to cause them to TURN them against God.

Nathan, First I find the Torah is a myth/fiction. However, if you are going to quote it at us daily then I find it my job to make sure you are understanding it correctly as the person/persons who wrote it meant it to be and not allow you to run away with you own imaginary thoughts. I know I mistakenly wrote beforehand that satan was an entity (and that was confusing) but I was wrong and made a mistake (I got lost trying to explain some issue or another to you) satan is a title and God's satan at the time of Job's trials would not be the same entity as the satan in an other time. God changes his staff around just like any CEO would do from time to time. No where can I find in the Torah as written by Ezra when any satan was claimed to argue with his Boss God.

And whom do you think would know more about the theme of the story? Ezra or John? Speaking of throwing around the word scriptures' you remind me of Sergeant Obidiah Hakeswill from the Sharpe's TV series where he always used the word scriptures to justify his chaotic orders to the troops.

That is not only the strangest comment I have ever heard, it is also really stupid. Firstly, atheists do not believe in god, any god, so if bad things happen to people then they look for the reason which is backed up by evidence. Do you understand that simple little fact? Here is a couple of examples. Nathan is driving home and gets hit by a drunk driver. Obviously gods fault for inventing all that barley and water and the fermentation process. Nathan is driving home and there is a huge earthquake and a large building falls on Nathan's car, killing him. Obviously gods fault for not finishing creation first time round and making little tweaks here and there.

So, who do you think Know more about Satan, John or Ezra? I put my understanding with John. John had witnessed what Satan did to Jesus, in the lives of Judas, the apostles and the pesecusion followers of Jesus in the book of Acts and through the centuries.

Now remember the English word "satan" is a title not a personal name. And also remember many satans come and go at the court of God. So when you blame satan for bad things you must also include his noun name that he/she was wearing the title satan at the time.

Evil and suffering in the world instead had another source; God himself. The Book of Isaiah 45:7 reads “I form light, and create darkness, I make weal and create woe: I the Lord do all these things” (NSRV). According to the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament, God alone controlled all events and was responsible for all conditions within creation, both good and evil. This idea, however acceptable it was early in Jewish traditions, became confusing and frustrating, and led to the basic question of theodicy: How could a loving and benevolent God allow so much suffering and pain on earth? Why Nathan and his ilk can't understand the Torah is beyond me. Perhaps Nathan could befriend a rabbinical scholar up in the North West to help him with his translation to English. I've gave him links and tried to explain different things to him but either he doesn't understand my English or his eyes just glaze over and he spouts his un-factual ideas to us. I'm at a total lost how to help him.

God's angels Long BEFORE God created Adam and Eve 6000 yrs ago in the Garden of Eden. God cast Lucifer/Satan and 1/3 of the fallen to earth billions years before God created Adam and Eve.Evilness existed on the before Adam and Eve were created. Your understanding is off base! According to the book of Revelation. This earth planet has been the home/Prison of Lucifer and 1/3 of the fallen angels for billions of years. Thus earth planet is their kingdom and they are EVIL to the bones, the fallen humans souls belongs to them so, we are theirs SLAVES! They can do with theirs slaves as they want.

** Like I wrote this earth planet belongs to Lucifer/Satan, 1/3 of the fallen angels and their evil Children the SEED of Cain and his descendants= Illuminator/Cabal. They rule the planet and the humans. They can do with whatever they please with the humans. Christ came down from heaven to set us/humans FREE from Satan's bondage, slavery, and NOT to be cast in the Lake of fire/ Second death with Lucifer and fallen angels AFTER judgment day.

I think a major part of the discourse over satan and God is because of erroneous teaching in churches. Not teaching the full gospel. There are many churches that deny the power of God. They deny the spiritual gifts. I bet half the people on this site dont know what their calling is or what their gifting is.
Something I found interesting reading up on ET races is they are interested in us earthlings because of the gifts we carry.. They are also interested in us because we are passionate, we can go from anger, forgiveness to love very quickly.

God create all angels to be good servants but Lucifer made or turned himself into Satan/God's most fearsome adversary. No. Evil could not exist if your god did not create it first. Your god is responsible for evil. Ugly god, ugly angels, ugly you.
Evil emanates from sin, God did not create sin, thus God is not responsible for evil.

Tell me more..... Strong's Number - H1966 Hebrew: הילל Transliteration: hêylêl Pronunciation: hay-lale' Definition: From H1984 (in the sense of brightness); the morning star: - lucifer. KJV Usage: Lucifer (1x). Occurs: 1 In verses: 1 So if Lucifer (a great bright light) fell from heaven to earth... Is 9:2 "The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned" John 3:19 "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil." Believe in the Light from heaven...Satan... apparently... I do believe Isaiah is talking about Nebuchadnezzar in reference to Lucifer. I would like to understand how you have arrived at the assumptions you just made with Satan?
