Why on earth would Trump lie about something so serious he is the friggin President not a drunk junkie off their face on cocaine mouthing off. He would understand the repercussions of lying to the people. Im convinced you intel is totally off base. Keep your eyes on Sidney Powell, Treason is an offense against the people I think, jmt that Treason will be proven. On a grand scale. Sidney works for the Military. Treason is a Military problem. Interestingly, Sidney Powell was unable to prove treason yet was herself cherged with "violating Georgia's racketeering law and conspiracy to commit election fraud". Time is a great revealer. www.axios.com/2023/08/29/sidney-powell-plea-georgia-election-trump

Topic of thread is 'workers running nervous?'. Please keep to topic.
This thread was started by Wally long before the Dean Bruer dust-up. We have ourselves a prophet?
I really thought this whole thing would be over by now, its been over 3 months. Some house cleaning has occurred, but now they just need to swallow their pride and admit that some horrible decisions were made regarding sexual abusers. And more importantly, give people some solid assurance that the practice of moving abusive people to different locations to hide their offenses will come to a complete halt. Until that happens, the Workers aren't the ones running nervous, the anxiety lies with the Friends who need to sleep with one eye open.
They really need to step-up the pace by cutting all sexually aggressive and abusive people out of the church. I don't understand why they aren't going full throttle, all the dickering around with such a serious problem is eroding confidence. If the Overseers can't get a handle on it, they really need to put one person, preferably a woman at the helm to sort out the mess and establish a fresh start. There still aren't any hard & fast rules when abusers are allowed to attend mtgs.. Jesus said to cut offending members out of the church body and that advise would be a good place to start. No negotiations, no forgiving, no mercy, and no second chances for CSA period. The church is for Christians, not a stomping ground for perverts hunting for victims.
There's been too much sentimental b.s. and not enough decisive action. The prolonged delay indicates a lack of leadership, the answers are simple, just report anyone who's touched a child or committed rape and then throw them out. All the apologies and regret aren't a fix, giving an abused person emotional support won't cut it, especially from a church that permitted abusers to flourish in their ranks.

I don't understand why they aren't going full throttle, all the dickering around with such a serious problem is eroding confidence. It's because most sex offenders and their families have been considered some of the most "hearty" and "Godly" and "kingdom-minded" people in the church.

Yes and when it comes to families with the offenders, some of them are very rich. Hearty, Godly, kingdom minded and rich enough to hire some of the best lawyers. Those things will make survivors back down for obvious reasons.

Logically, this is what you would think. If the leadership was as repulsed and horrified over CSA as most contributors on this board are, you would naturally think this. Small fellowship. Everybody knows everyone else (or close to it). Zero tolerance for this kind of behavior. Decisive action. Problem solved. It should be that simple, right? Right??? But it's not. Why not? A significant part of the leadership currently in control is obviously not at all repulsed or horrified over CSA. If they were, their actions (and the results) would be so completely different. Why?

Upholding a group of people and their hierarchical leadership as "God's Kingdom" is sure to fail.

A brother, Perry Hmmm, I don't know if the above post justifiably belongs under this particular op heading, but after 95 pages who knows where it's been, or for that matter - is.... Anyway, .. though I don't know Perry well at all, from what little I do, Imo he is an idealist in the best, hopeful sense. Unfortunately reality and idealism almost always, somewhere along in life, inevitably irreconcilably clash. My advice, look for the idealists anyway. Keep your integrity. You are not alone. Find some. If "home" is where you remember some, start there. Build out. All the best to you and many other likewise hopeful and idealistic souls.
