may not be finished counting until friday....sounds like the shennanigans have already started.... Yes, Republicans have applied a tactical squeeze by insisting that the counting of millions of already received ballots cannot begin until Election Day. It is only a natural consequence, not a shenanigan that the counting will not finish by the end of Election Day.

We've not had a lunatic incumbent to complain about it before.

Of course it has. Do some research. Many states in many elections have continued counting absentee ballots for some time after election day, and have not certified the results until the counting was done.
You only THINK they finished because the media 'calls' the results, often on election night, unless it's too close to call, e.g. Michigan in 2016.
One difference this time is that more people are voting absentee because they're concerned about COVID-19 in the polling place, and so in some states, the count will take longer than usual.
Another difference this time is that Poor Loser is preemptively setting the stage for being a poor loser. Remember, "The only way I'll lose is if there is massive fraud." He is so transparent with his fragility, the mind boggles, and that his base falls for it is stupefying.

Of course counting of votes after election day is not new. It's happened almost every election in memory. We just have a president now who can't deal with the thought that he's not going to be president for life. Has there ever been a president who did SO MUCH to prevent votes from being counted? How many lawsuits has he already launched and mostly lost trying to keep legal votes from being counted. He sued about mail-in ballots, he sued about counting votes early, he sued about counting votes after election day, he sued about 127,000 votes cast at a drive through poll station. Of course, that's all he's done all his life -- sued people to intimidate them, sent goons to harass people to intimidate them. He praised the Trumpist convoy in Texas, who tried to force a Biden bus off the freeway, claiming they were "escorting their challengers to safety". Nuff said -- vote away all you rattle-heads.

NO ONE that i can remember has said BEFORE election day that they won't be able to count all the ballots till 3 or 4 days later that is generally been reserved for the night of the election might want to check that research...

No one had to say anything about it before. Everyone knew that it happened. The difference now is that, at least here in Las Vegas, the number of mail in ballots today has already exceeded the total number of ballots cast in the last election. Have you voted yet?

There you go again, changing the point under debate -- the point that YOU raised: "i don't believe that it slowed the count down before nor should it now...."
Now you seem to be saying that wasn't REALLY your point; rather, it was that "no one you can remember has said before election day that they won't be able to count all the ballots till 3 or 4 days later...".
I won't respond to that, because Bob has already very effectively done so.
Besides, if I were to keep playing your game in which you continually change the parameters of the question, eventually you'd expect me to find a black Jewish 46-year old lesbian socialist Catholic pediatric nurse practitioner in the 5th ward of Dows, Iowa who made that statement 6 days, four hours, and 37 seconds during a full moon in a rainstorm before the election.
I confess, I cannot argue that point.
