Mary I've heard this most of my life. Can you say anything the workers haven't told you?. To sin wilfully to these people was to try and establish your own righteousness. And if your rejecting the work of Christ there is no other sacrifice that will do the job. So all your trying, sacrificing, doing God's will ect ect is sinning if you think it makes Christ's finished work effective. God's spirit is in everyone. The Holy Spirit is a little different. I struggle to understand it, it seems to the Hebrew people it was the knowledge of God is the Holy Spirit. 2x2's use of the word holy spirit is rediculous. Where did I say it's ok to sin because God will cover it anyway?. Judgment was a pruning term. The Nature of Christ prunes the crap out of your life. The Holy Spirit is no different from the Spirit of God. God's Spirit is holy, thus he's the Holy Spirit. And God gives his Spirit to those who obey him and he can take it away also. Also, I've never met a worker, I read my Bible and I know it's the truth. We have to live by the will of God and turn from sin. And no, all our trying and doing God's will is never sinning, obeying God is never sinning in anyway whatsoever! Are you a 2x2? You may want to study Ruach Mary. You missed the point, Doing God's will to make the blood effective is sinning. Totally different to what you just said. Just ask wally what I am, he seems to be all over it. And when he doesn't know or can't find a answer that fits the narrative he'll just burn someone.

And when he doesn't know or can't find a answer that fits the narrative he'll just burn someone. And you've got me wrong, the blood of Christ helps us to overcome sin. But that blood has to be within us, it's not the literal blood of Jesus 2000 years ago. It's his life within our hearts, the life of Christ made manifest by the Spirit when we eat his flesh and drink his blood which is following him in the truth and taking his life in, and living it out, obeying his word and following his life by walking the walk. But there is no receiving of the Spirit without obedience. It says this clearly in the Bible, that God gives the Holy ghost to those who obey him. and we need the Spirit of life to have life in us and to help us overcome. Romans 6 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 6:16 KNOW YOU NOT, THAT TO WHOM YE YIELD YOURSELVES SERVANTS TO OBEY, HIS SERVANTS ARE YE TO WHOM YE OBEY; WHETHER OF SIN UNTO DEATH, OR OF OBEDIENCE UNTO RIGHTEOUSNESS? 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. 6:20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 6:21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Galatians 6 came to mind as I read your post Maryhig...
15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.
16 May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.
It's about tranformation - not merely the acceptance of religious theory.

It's not my gospel Ross, I'm quoting from the Bible! Nowhere in the Bible does it say we are forgiven of all sin including future sins by Jesus being murdered. It says we will be judged on what we do good and bad, and that we are forgiven our trespasses as we forgive others who trespass against us. We are being judged here and now on what we do good and bad. You just don't seem to believe this, yet it tells us this clearly in the Bible. And nowhere in the Bible does it say that the death of Jesus saves us from the wrath of God, can you show me where it says this please? In fact it says this in Romans 1 Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness So the wrath of God comes upon those who know the truth and don't live right before God. Those who know his word and don't obey it putting themselves before God. Those who truly love God and follow Jesus will live by the will of God.
Didn't Jesus say that there was only one sin that was unforgivable (Luke 12:10)? If our sins are forgiven and Jesus paid the penalty for sin, then what is a Christian judged for? Yes, we are instructed to repent and forgive others, but assuming a Christian does that, why would God's wrath fall upon them?
If the death of Christ does not save us from God's wrath, then wasn't his sacrifice made in vain? He endured the curse of the law so we could live. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19).
I agree that hypocrites will come under judgement, but if the sins of sincere Christians are blotted-out, what is there to judge?

I wonder why people are so stressed about the judgement of God? My understanding is that God's relationship with his people is like a loving husband/bride and parent/child relationship. In those relationships we carefully avoid doing anything to disappoint others in the relationship, but we don't obsess over being judged by those we love. Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.Luke 12:31 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need.
32 “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

Heb. 10:30-38 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Those of us who are still the faith and believe in God, the battles rages on with the flesh, the world and Satan to our last breath. Thanks, be to God the Father, Christ our Savior, and the Holy Spirit will help us to win these battles on earth through the blood of the Lamb of God/Jesus forgiveness when we sins and fails.

Faith is a mobile citadel, a portable fortress. It evolved precisely to occupy the territory inaccessible to reason, faith evolved mechanisms to move fluidly with the boundaries of that territory, or, as with apocalypticism, to blithely revise its truth claims about the imminent end of the world as fast as they’re discredited by the world’s contrarian perseverance.
Reminds me of the women who choose to remain married to notorious serial killers. All the monsters are supposedly loving family men. So sad to see those who would long to be the bride to monster who plans to eternally torture billions with molten sulfur.

No such thing as eternal torture in the bible... Eternal fire is one that has eternal consequences... Eternal death, not everlasting punishment.
God is too good not to punish sin. God would be a sinner if He didn't punish sin.
Faith is the hearts response to the character of God

Yes, total disintegration of body soul and spirit. "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell" (Matthew 10:28)

God is too good not to punish sin. God would be a sinner if He didn't punish sin.
Faith is the hearts response to the character of God
The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).
The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never ending as the bliss of the righteous in heaven. Jesus Himself indicates that punishment in hell is just as everlasting as life in heaven (Matthew 25:46). The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God. Those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalm 76:10). Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end. Praise Godwww.gotquestions.org/hell-real-eternal.html

Amen, Dan.... Many atheists on here accusing God is a MONSTER for allowing evil going wild and rampant in the world! and He is NOT do anything about it but in the end He will send these EVIL people and be cast them ALL into the LAKE of fire forever, then they STILL complaint by saying he is torturing billions with molten sulfur. Damn if you do and Damn if you don't! what a bunch of looney. Sinners and evil people will be punished in the day of judgment by God and Christ. God wants to give these people time to REPENT while they are ALIVE on the earth because AFTER death is too late to REPENT.

There are those who interpret it differently, but the second death is not eternal, its a permanent end. In the context of the Lake of Fire, forever just means until it ends, your simply gone forever and ever. No one is tortured eternally for what they did in 70 years on earth. That's a religious scare tactic (Dante's Inferno), but imo, its not biblical.

Making a God of Love into a monster is simply a justification for not accepting or believing, i.e; I don't like the mean God of the bible, so I reject Him.
But Christians just plow ahead with a different response to the character of God, which was revealed in Christ. That's the test, its why we're all here.
There are so many non-believers here, its hard to believe a person can go from one extreme to another. Its by faith that we please God, trust and love cannot be demonstrated without faith, but atheist constantly demand proof of what they've already willfully rejected.
Being alone in a crowd ain't always easy, your going to stand out and not blend in, but the sly fox will survive by pretending to be just another face in the crowd.

*** Here is my understanding... The Godhead is Spirits= God the Father is Spirit, Christ has His own Spirit and so does the Holy Spirit and they are ETERNAL. God the Father and Christ created Adam and Eve in the image of God and in their Likeness. Christ made them living souls and His Spirit when we are born again. Souls and spirits are ETERNAL like God it can NEVER die, the humans bodies must and will die eventually due to old age/sins but NOT the souls, lives on after death. Sin is death both naturally and spiritually from God's presence= Cast into the Lake of fire forever. Christ in His goodness and grace died for us sinners so we don't face the Second death= Eternal separation from God forever. Christ KNEW how horrible of the second death is, that was why he came down from heaven so no human beings will face that awful day after the judgment day.
