Mark 8:18: “Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?”
My thoughts this morning have been on those Jews that were able to see Jesus for what he was, and those Jews who refused to see Jesus. The Jews were under the bondage of the law, which could only bring death, and Jesus came to liberate them. We have an expression for someone who has ears to hear - we say they are "all-ears". I was thinking about those Jews who could see plainly - they were "all-eyes". They were able to see that Jesus was there to liberate them. But there were a lot of Jews who could not see. These "not-sees" wished to keep the Jews under the burden of the law, because they saw themselves as superior and chosen. In the end though, there were some Jews who were all-eyes, and they were able to continue preaching the gospel, and freeing their fellow Jews.
We look around at this dark world and we see lots and lots of Not-sees. I just want to be an All-Eye, that I could liberate the Jews, in coming days.

The law isn't abolished, the law should be written in our hearts and in our minds being taught by the Spirit as we walk in the way of Jesus. Jesus himself said he didn't come to abolish the law he came to fulfill it. And he fulfilled it by living it out and showing us how to live before God and he is our example to follow. I even hear people saying that the ten commandments are abolished, no they're not, and if we truly live by the will of God and obey his word, then we will obey his commandments and we obey them through love. Love fulfils the law, and true love is love in action. Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Surely you miss singing 'We come apart from all the worldly throng' 😄 With all the coming apart, and coming together, I'm amazed anyone left in one piece after 4 days!

After owning cats (or rather them owning us), my wife and I decided that the feline version of that hymn was...
"It was for me, All about me! Oh love of me! So great to be, A fuzzy cat! I am all that! So scratch my head, And let me be! "

A God being omniscience can not make an error or mistake if you well. So how did the law that your God handed down become a bondage? or was it always so? and if your statement is true then it really wasn't a God that handed it down was it?

"To he who doth the raven's feet, and Lily's clothes with beauteous dress."
It made as much sense as anything else!

Well, the old Testament God was in a crotchety mood, until one of the angels gave him a Snickers. After all, all Gods are homicidal genocidal sadistic narcissistic chauvinistic jealous deities until they've had a Snickers! Angel: ummmm, God....? I thought you said shellfish and pork were unclean? God [though a mouthful]: hmmm? Dees bacon wapped swimp doh! Angel: how are we going to gloss over this? God: [gulps and grabs another kabob] No worries - I got a plan. Tell Jesus to come downstairs - I gotta job for him!

There was a woman named Lily who lived in our field. It wasn't until much later that I parsed the verse and realized it was one long, convoluted sentence.
