Have always enjoyed that song! Right now we’re travelling between provinces and I just played Willie Nelson’s “on the road again”! So fun. He wrote the song on a plane trip on the back of a barf bag, apparently.

There really is truth to the saying music soothes the soul, so much so that it is now recognized as a form of therapy. Music therapy is a recognized and accepted form of therapy, music stimulates so many parts of the brain as well as the emotions it can actually lower your blood pressure and heart rate.

I understand studies were made on playing Mozart through headphones to the unborn child, and then playing Mozart after birth through to early childhood, and there was some positive influence on brain development.
We did it for our kids, and then moved to Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield and other similar artists from the acid rock era to give them a good musical grounding. Our son who works at a high level in Government is also a music producer, drummer and multi-instrumentalist, as well as being a representative cricketer, rugby player and professional cricket coach. Our daughter is also a multi-instrumentalist, like her brother, also played in a rock band, as well as being a classical piano player, and a representative cricketer.
Was it the music? Was it the choice of music? I'd go for the WHO "won't get fooled again" track myself

Yes, and the differing effects of an on-beat vs an off-beat

We value the talent of our Maori people in N.Z. Their natural understanding of rhythm and ability to sing in harmony. At my dear friends funeral a few years ago, it was two or three Maori folk playing their guitar & singing in harmony at the graveside that struck a chord that perhaps nothing else did for me.

Aren't the harmonies and rhythms of the Maori and Pacific Islanders just magical? Skin crawling and goosebumps aplenty

There used to be a hymn to the tune of Aloha Oe. "I am yours for evermore". Does anybody remember it???. The Chorus went, Create in me, More love for thee, I am yours forever more.

Grrrr A few years agothere was a guy down the road who used to sit in his car and play the most horrible music for hours on end. Somehow a tube of two of "NO MORE GAPS ended up in his exhaust pipe. End of car engine next time he started it. I have also seen a dog chain, (without the dog) thrown through power lines leading to a party house. That killed the whole street.

Prags, I still have the 1951 edition of O&N. which was the best one. The 1987 one was too much 2x2ish.
I can't find it, do you know the title???.

Sorry Bob, I was trying to find "I am yours forevermore" in the 1951 Edition. Don't have the 1987 one, don't like it.

I’ll have a look to see if I still have the old book. I seem to recall it got mouldy, but not sure what I did with it.
If I find it, I’ll let you know the number.
