I probably should address the thread title - is Nathan a 2 * 2?
To even have a thread title about a person says something in itself, and probably that the personality has gotten bigger than the purpose of the forum.
I am not sure what constitutes a 2 * 2 person. Is it someone who has "professed and been baptised by a worker"? Is it someone who ascribes to the Matthew 10 ministry doctrine and believes it was the pattern for all time? Is it someone who attends and takes part in meetings? Is it someone who accepts that the Workers re God's ministers and must be obeyed? Or is it all of these and more, or some or parts of these?
Obviously Nathan an ex-worker, still attends meetings. Does what he espouses on here fit with what could be said in a meeting, or in public testimony in a Gospel meeting, or at a Convention? And if he did, what would the reaction be?

I had never heard the term 2x2 in N.Z. before coming on this board. I try not to use it as it’s a bit foreign to me. I prefer to refer to ‘the friendlies ‘ or ‘their church’. Cheers

He seems to have quite a bit of expertise on whether people are professing. It's about submission, surrender, and being broken, not about whether we can interpret scripture correctly about extraterrestrial locations and their inhabitants. Mixture of both. Support is provided by Mentors who are dedicated to helping questioning friends. Our Mentors are Christians, and are either current or former 2x2 church members. They have each previously struggled with questions like these in their own individual lives. They want to help all those who have questions, including those who are questioning their faith. So Nathan would respectfully suggest that you forget Venus, and find out more about things on Earth. Lots of good things happening. Basically what is being preached here, is that Christians will end up in interior Venus, where all believers are. I take great exception to this although I don’t label myself a Christian. Why do I take exception? Simply because this does not represent the belief of those who are Christians. I respect they are entitled to their spiritual beliefs but does not have to be represented by you. This is not where my deceased professing mother is. She is not resting in the interior of Venus ( where your stupid other fantasies relate to). I object on her behalf. If she was here, she would give you an earful. This is disgraceful. You should not speak for anybody but for yourself with your beliefs. |

If we all would just put Nathan on ignore, it would suck the oxygen out of his posts.
He is NOT going to change and it is hurtful for others to hear his claims about what will happen when they think of their own relatives who are near and dear to them.
As an atheist I know it didn't happen to my parents but for those who are believers what Nathan keeps saying is bound to be upsetting.

We could all put him on ignore, and yes it would starve him of oxygen, except for his one or two sycophants who would post up their Amens.
However, this would then reduce the TMB traffic volume, and if it works like it looks like it does, it could also starve it of advertising revenue, and then not be there for someone who needs it.

I can't say for sure that I've never raised the Venus topic but I don't know why I would. It's a great big time waster.

She had a great love for her God & extremely happy spiritually ‘in this life’....but was struggling to say goodbye/ to leave us all at only 56 yrs. Please don’t judge my personal moment of grief, you were not part of it. I don’t claim to be an expert on what happens at death ( who can be?) But there is no comfort accepting that Venus rubbish. |
