well God did say that it was gonna be tough for believers near the end...this is just further proof of that.... I always thought people voted their self interest backwards by age. Normally when people are young they are more fiscally liberal, and when they get older they become more fiscally conservative. It would better serve a young persons self interest if they wanted the government to spend less on social programs ie more fiscally conservative. When they are young and working their taxes would be lower. While it would better serve an older retired persons self interest if they wanted the government to spend more on social program aka fiscally liberal. When they are older those younger and still working would pay more taxes for their increased benefits. The so called generation wars haven't started yet, but I think it will happen as more and more of society becomes retired or unemployed there will be push back from fewer working to support social programs.

wasn't there a time where it was like 10 or 20 to 1 who paid taxes vs not paying taxes/welfare and in reccent years that dropped to 3 to 1 or 2 to 1?
