I think it is very important where Jesus spent those 18 years. They are the learning years and most important to lay the foundation for adult life. And what Jesus learnt in those 18 years were the humanitarian principles that he tried to teach. Just a real pity that the true story of his life was not told in the Bible.

since yours has failed i understand why you would think that.... They're hollow for the reasons I just pointed out. Nothing to do with me. The foundation of your replies are, "Its B.S because I said its B.S." And that is founded in what the workers tell you which I guarantee never did the homework Shane Willard did to justify what they say. If you could be bothered to lower yourself to Shanes level and actually checked what he say's with sources outside the 2x2 system you may find some truth in what he say's. Meanwhile you admitted you never even watched the video to which you think is B.S just because. How would you know? you didnt watch it!. Your words are hollow, no substance, no foundation. Anyone who disagrees with something they've never watched and openly calls it B.S is childish.

Wally you may have to check the settings on that BS detector of yours. There should be a bias adjustment on it make sure it is set on minimum. I think yours may be on 2x2 maximum.

Very enlightening, Love Magpie i've heard him before and he has some very wonky ideas about christianity...so i did not listen to your video... i say its okay to not know what he was doing from 12-30 no skin off my nose...But we do know what he was doing during his 12-30 years. Jesus tells us himself. At 12 years of age his parents found him discussing the scriptures with the scribes and rulers, astonishing them with his knowledge and reasoning. When asked what he was doing by his mother he said 'Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business!' Mary hid these things in her heart. It was the course Jesus was set on. At 12 years of age a Jewish boy was considered to have reached manhood and entered the business or trade of his father from whom he would eventually take over from. Jesus wasn't referring to Joseph as his father, but God. From 12 years old he was entering the business of his real and Heavenly father God, not the carpentry business of his step father Joseph.. That is what he was doing between nthe ages of 12-30, preparing himself for his ministry. We do not have the specifics of what he was doing but there is nothing surer than that. Later, the people who knew him and heard his words and saw his miracles asked...'Is this not Joseph the carpenter's son?' Jesus was not a carpenter. As he later told his disciples to do, he put God first and foremost in his life. If people would only ask Virgs they would get the answers!

Some manuscripts call it the twelfth year. Based on the calendar shift, and also the initiation rites into manhood, which were 18, it would also explains his parent being not overly concerned about him being missing. Parents would not be too concerned about an 18 year old, but I am sure a missing 12 year old would be.
This would also explain 6 years of this gap.
This is just a theory, but is one that some biblical scholars are giving more credence to.

I remember well wally, your repsonse was something along the lines off "there was so much wrong I dont even know where to begin". And that was it, more hollow words. You couldn't even name one, you didn't even begin!. You probably didnt even let the dust settle after watching it to reply, without ever bothering to fact check anything separate from 2x2 doctrine that was founded by someone a mere hundred years ago and passed on with zero resesearch in the process till this very day, hence your response just like today, Its B.S just because I say its B.S. Today you bettered that by calling it B.S with not having the foggiest what was said. Didnt listen to a word. Not one. That's so rediculous its not funny. And then you think your not being a fool by calling Shane's unwatched commentary B.S but lapping up the workers unfounded words.

We don't know what Jesus did from ages 12 to 30, but there is a legion that as a young man, he traveled to Britain with his rich uncle Joseph of Arimathea. Here's an hour long old documentary about it. Who knows?

The 18 Missing years of Jesus Christ...
Note that the information presented in this article is acquired from various sources - not strictly biblical manuscripts. The stories have been passed down through traditional documents and can not be proved as accurate. From history we learn that he was previously known as Joseph de Marmore as he lived in Marmorica in Egypt before he moved to Arimathea. There is speculation that Joseph of Arimathea, or Joseph of Glastonbury as he later became known, was the uncle of Mary, mother of Jesus. The relationship to Mary made him a Great Uncle of Jesus. From this, we may presume that he was an elderly man at the time of the crucifixion. We have few verifiable details about Joseph except that he was he was quite wealthy. Some claim that Joseph of Arimathea was a merchant in metals and took young Jesus with him on his business trips to England, India, and even to South America. It is a well documented fact that Britain led the world at this time with its tin mining. Joseph of Arimathea was referred to by the Romans as 'Nobilis Decurio' or Minister of Mines to the Roman Government. Joseph of Arimathea was not one of the original 12 apostles, but he was a disciple of Jesus and was an important man in his own right. He is mentioned in all four gospels (Matthew: 27:57-60; Mark 15:43-46; Luke 23:50-55; John 19:38-42). He was a high counselor, a voting member of the Sanhedrin2 which officially wanted Jesus condemned to death. We may speculate that he had not consented to, or agreed with, the decision to push Pontius Pilate to impose the death penalty upon Jesus. In spite of his relationship with Jesus, his loyalty to Him was largely kept secret (John 19:38). Jesus was obviously unpopular with the elders of the church, and to outwardly support Him did not bring favor in their eyes (John 19:38). www.allaboutjesuschrist.org/joseph-of-arimathea-faq.htm

I don't know what qualifications you have Wally to say that Shane is false, other than the false programming you have received from Workers. And it is a bit of a laugh when you think of some of the porkies told by Workers over the years.

Good on you Wally self taught with 2x2 spin and all. Think I would sooner rely on somebody who has been at College and learnt Theology. Complex subject. I always go to see a Doctor who has graduated at University, would not go to a backyard quack.
