This post will likely be my last – don't all cry at once please because electronics are sensitive to too many tears. I am not banned from this board, and the threads I have started in the last year have been good for the advertizng business without me having to endure any ads in the process. But instead of banning my access my access is TODAY denied, evidently because the browser I normally use is too secure for this board, blocking trackers and ads and every other privacy invasion tactic this board uses. This post is made through an old browser that blocks ads but is not so good at blocking trackers and other privacy invaders. Blessing to all while this board invades your privacy behind your back. And smile while you are on camera - there are far to many frowns on this board. On my laptop I use Google Chrome with AdBlock. No problem for me with that combination. No ads, no popups On my phone I use Tapatalk. Works fine. No pop ups adblockplus.orgThis is not the first time a user error has been blamed on someone else.

Moziila/firefox has a "Privacy Badger" app for your browser, it blocks invisible trackers and spying ads that follow you around the web. Sometimes it won't let a page load, but you have an easy option to override the blocker and enable the page to load. I believe you can occasionally clear your browser or use a spyware cleaner. If you refuse to visit sites that track you, there won't be many sites available that you can use these days. I wonder what people are looking at that makes them worry about people tracking them.

Its usually for ad's... Your searches are tracked to get a line on your interest, then that information is sold to specific companies that target your business.. Although that doesn't explain why I get so many emails wanting me to buy Viagra

The ads will be displayed whether or not you are tracked. The difference they will not be targeted. The easiest solution is to not click on the ads. I agree with xna - use one of the ad blockers.

What made me laugh was when the news reported a few days ago that some guy they apprehended was looking at a porn site on his computer. They named the porn site. All I could think of was that every guy in town would be looking up that site.

I use Firefox and Go Duck Go which is supposed to stop trackers. Obviously isn't full proof as I can look up women's jeans and find ads for the same when I log on to Facebook.

I think that illustrates my point. Why do you care if there are ads for jeans if you are interested in them? You don't have to click on them and the alternative random ad might be worst!
