It all depends on your standing with the Workers. If you are rich and nice to them they will grant a dispensation. That is the irony of it, rules are not applied consistently.
And because they say "There are no Rules" you would be entitled to say "Get Stuffed".

The more I am exposed to technology, the more I am convinced that there is a wide range of differences based on family status, locality, and the personalities of the senior brothers in an area.

I wonder what that would look like ….leaving the past alone? There is much in our individual and collective past that gives us guidance for the present and the future. We would be foolish to ignore it and not learn from it.
History points to many times where individuals and nations have repeated errors of the past.

I absolutely agree that we ignore the past at our own peril, however we shouldn’t agonise over the past and allow it to destroy our present and our future.

It hasn't destroyed my present or future, I have had a wonderful life since leaving the 2x2's over 50 years ago. Richly blessed, much peace and happiness. But I can't help but wonder why the rules that we were subjected to, are no longer applied. So somebody must have learnt from the past and that is all good.
Maybe there are still a few there that need doing away with. Perhaps ex's are worth listening to.

Maybe I see things a little different I wasn’t bought up in a professing home and only professed for a few years. Haven’t been to a meeting since the late 80’s I can’t work out whether there is a God or not. So I am a bit in the middle on most things. I try to look at positives not negatives. Doesn’t always work.
