My mother who was professing spent a lot of time with a dying professing woman who was maybe 60 and had cancer. Mum said that this woman was screaming no...no no and other stuff in her last hours. She also appeared to be afraid but I nor my mum would have any idea what caused the fear. There are a number of possibilities, one of which is a fear of death. I would say that could be quite scarey. The realisation that you are leaving your loved ones, your loving children & spouse I believe is traumatic for anyone whether one is in the best of health or on deaths door. Being on deaths door, the finality of the loving relationships you’re cemented for years, it beats me why anyone would consider one would or should approach it with absolute serenity. I speak from personal experience sitting with someone dear to me, at the end. Some go peacefully, some don't. That's the way it is. I haven't had anyone jump out of bed at me though. Usually by the time they are taking their last breath, which btw is very distinct, they do not have the energy to do any jumping. If someone is struggling to get a breath I can see how that would be very scary. That's one reason why my heart goes out to all those who have died from this virus. It's been described to be like they were drowning only a lot slower. So scary, especially for a young person that hasn't had time to contemplate that they could die. Us oldies have given it some thought, know we are vulnerable, and likely have already accepted that to some extent. But young people still seem to think they won't die because they are younger and have a better chance. I know my daughter seems to think that. But bottom line if you get the strain that turns to pneumonia you are just as likely to die. I saw an 3D of a lung that was being ravaged by this virus. Anyone that does survive this will have limited lung capacity. By that I mean, those that got bad enough to need a ventilator and survived.

Sorry, -but no, you didn't mention that the side rails were up. My nursing practice probably wasn't that long before yours, -however, good nursing practice doesn't change.
Why is it "No big deal?" to you? You have told a story of a terrified patient whom you assumed "jumped" out of bed & fell on the floor and was dying when you saw her and to you it is just a story and no big deal?
And then you find the responses you get from that story "amusing?"
It's a worker story. I used to hear them,ad nauseam. Never heard those stories from workers that I can think of but that's obviously been your experience. But I am thankful to be included in some people's ad nauseam. Kinda works both ways it seems.

Well, I've warned you about the Adm. had requested in the past NOT to discuss, mention or quote the old posts on the forbidden subjects on the main page and if you continue to post it, you will be banned without knowing it. You can read the warning at the bottom of the page on TMB rules for yourself. So, don't push your luck, curly.
TMB Rules: 1 No personal attacks, insults...The admin/moderators may, at their discretion, ban any member who continues to post against the 5 rules as above, or who is deemed to be causing or prolonging a disruption to the Truth Meetings Board.
WATCH your steps! you might get banned from posting .... Just a friendly reminder. They banned Bert, Brad L. and a few others on TMB. So be very careful if I were you.
You are not in any position to warn anyone. You are a member of this forum, not an admin. You are the one that believes hollow planets, jesus living in Venus, Admiral Byrds fake diary and so on. I don't give a hoot whether you believe these things but when you post them as fact I will hold you to account. He is also the one on probation not us.

Some young people are dying or getting very sick from CV19 also. I am not personally afraid of dying from a slow drowning type sensation if I can't avoid getting the virus. The more I think about it the less I am afraid of that type of death. I have seen people die "normal deaths" with the "death rattle" for many days. CV19 is a lot quicker.

Don't ask questions on here if you don't want people answering them. The Adm. has asked you folks so MANY TIMES, NOT to ask or mention about the forbidden Stuff, you know what I mean on the MAIN Page. I want to defend my forbidden stuff, you know. It would be unfair to read your posts or questions on the forbidden stuff and NOT able to answer it. It's for the best NOT to mention, or quotes old posts on the forbidden stuff/subjects at all.
If you want to mention the forbidden subjects go to general board and I will engage you on there without getting any of us in trouble. VERY simple. We will get in trouble if we engage the forbidden subjects on the main page.
You are unbelievable Nathan. Take responsibility for your behaviors. For at least the third time, I never brought any forbidden stuff up, I answered your question. Don't ask questions if you don't want a response. The admin has obviously spoken to you about you posting what you do, so stop projecting that into others. You post fake information on the thread and say that no one is allowed to call it fake.

The post below is what you said I am forbidden to write Nathan which tells me you are just trying to stop people calling what you write as fake and I asked you to put the author's name against them instead of trying to pass them off as authentic. So wanting to pass your posts off as truth and shut people up who call you out is dishonest Nathan. The admin spoke to you not us, so stop blaming others for your behaviors.
You obviously know what you post is false if you're able to discern what is allowed to be posted on here and what is not.
Seems you shouldn't be posting anything on the main board as people say, everything you post is false. You also take a bit of the Bible and twist it to fit in with your cult teachings. You see conspiracy theories in everything which is not a good way to live.
So seems like no more posting on the main board for you Nathan.
Enuf wrote: It's nothing to do with someone being an atheist. Believers are also saying what you post is fake and even more so. You claim to be Christian in your beliefs. You are not Christian, you promote false cult teachings.
If it's false you'll fall for it. The least you can do is If it's somethlng like the fake Dead Sea scrolls you post, put the author's name to it, don't try and pass it off as authentic".
Bottom line Nathan, if you don't want people to reply don't ask questions

The death rattle doesn't usually last for days in my experience. I imagine there are instances where it does but my experience has been within about 12 hours of actual death. This virus is fairly quick for some and others hang in there for quite awhile. John Prime who is on a ventilator at the moment is an example of someone that's been on for about 4 days. Maybe he will make it, who knows.

It always astonished me when I would come back on shift and the person was still dying with that death rattle. It's not the norm, though. I also watched a lady dying from cancer in the hospital and wasn't given enough morphine for pain management. My fellow nurses were afraid if they gave her too much it would kill her. She suffered so much. I always gave whatever I could within the doctors order that kept her comfortable but that doesn't always happen. Less likely to die painfully in a hospice type setting.

What's most distinct about the last breath is....it's the last breath. For many it's a gasping type experience. For my mom, it was so beautiful. Her breaths just kept getting a little shallower and further apart. The last breath was more like a sigh.

No, go back to posts about 4 yrs ago where the Admin. did STEP in because YOU! fixit, and others complaint about science fiction mention on the Main page... I TOLD you folks! NOT to post the forbidden subjects on the main page but you guys and gals KNEW I would get in trouble for replying it so, you put your baits out there for me to bite into it so, the Adm. will ban me from posting. Finally, the Adm. has allowed me to post my stuff on the Ex-workers board and the rest of the board without getting to any trouble.
Let the past be bygone! From now on, Don't mention the forbidden subjects on the main page, Ok... Take it to general board and I will take on any of you there! The subject/thread is To Snow already started... We can go head to head any day! I will take your challenge any time. Leave the main page for 2x2 topics, ok.

Yes your responses are amusing because they're exactly what I expected from exactly the same people. And yes your nursing practice was quite awhile before mine. After a lot of consideration, I let my license lapse. It's hard to let go of something you worked so hard to achieve and become skilled at. The longer we do something, the more proficient we become at finding ways that strengthens our practices. Many times my patients and clients would remark that I was the first nurse they had that got to the bottom of their problems. When we know we're committed to helping people like that, it keeps us going. But it was breaking my family. Here is your post as first stated:A true story This a situation I dealt with years ago. A little old lady would come into the emergency department where I worked and she was the epitomy of the classic little old lady. Prim and proper without a hair out of place, sitting there demurely knitting for the hospital auxiliary. Every week she came in for IV hydration, which kept her alive. Occasionally it was my turn to give her her IV therapy. She must have figured out I was religious (bun, skirt) because she would always talk to me about how when she died she was going to put God in His place. She looked like this little saint bu t she had a hatred for God and she took every chance she could to tell me. You can't change anyone that doesn't want to change but I remember thinking, wow, what a place to he in just before you're about to die. Well, IV hydration doesn't keep an old lady alive for long and sure enough she was admitted to the hospital to die. She wouldn't eat or drink and had orders not to be resuscitated. Soon she was unconscious and for several days we turned her regularly every 2-3 hours. I wondered if she would die on a shift that I would be working. Sure enough, it was a night shift and sometime past midnight when we heard a loud crash. We ran down the hall towards the sound and into her room. This completely unconscious, dying little lady had jumped right out of the bed and landed on the floor sitting with her back against the wall and I have never seen such a look of terror in my whole life.I couldn't even imagine a look like that, haven't even seen anything like it in a horror movie.
And she took one big gasp and she was gone. She couldn't have been an atheist because she obviously believed there was a God and she was going to teach Him a thing or two. But whenever I hear people despising God through unbelief, I think of that woman.
What I found disturbing was your whole post showed no compassion for this lady, -even in the way you described the scene of her death.
You once described the incident as "fascinating."
Because of your belief that she hatred God you seemed just write her off as nothing but an "interesting" story.
Then afterwards, you apparently enjoyed the responses you got from telling her story.

You once described the incident as "fascinating."
Because of your belief that she hatred God you seemed just write her off as nothing but an "interesting" story.
Then afterwards, you apparently enjoyed the responses you got from telling her story.
,
No I was enjoying the responses of telling MY story. Still am.

Sorry off topic for monent. 🤔Just curious......Can it be clarified what “the general board” is and what ‘the main page’ is ?? I can see word General lower down but I can’t see a “to Snow” thread on the home page lists of threads. Appreciate if it’s explained succinctly without any added ‘ I am the new administrater /lecture approach.’
I understand many, as I do, just flick into ‘recent activity to read posts. Let’s face it most of us don’t use all our waking hrs on here.

I gave you the history of it.
Again don't ask questions on the main page of you don't want people answering them and don't post stuff if you don't want people challenging it. 4 years ago someone complained to the admin. Have you got proof of me or fixit complaining about your posts? Again you make assumptions with no proof.

Once again you are not telling the Truth. You do not know who has complained about you. Once again making stuff up which is your forte'

What do you think happens when people try to address your posts but you answer in a deprecating, belittling manner like using such personal terms like "little ant" and "dear matt, " -or calling people "vultures" and "corrupt God haters?"
Sounds like a self-righteous prick to me.
