"28 March 2020 PM
Greetings.
I wrote earlier the possibility to resume our fellowship meetings, would be reassessed at the end of March, hopefully with a much clearer picture. I can’t say we have a clear picture at this time, other than there is a very contagious virus globally, of which Michigan, according to authorities is a “hot spot,” especially the southeast area of the state. It seems prudent to me that we continue with the current suspension of all fellowship, study and gospel meetings here in Michigan. We will continue to monitor information as it becomes available. Those among us in the medical profession are in agreement with this decision. We all feel the loss of not being able to meet together with our brethren these days. We look forward with hope in our hearts there will be a day when we can share in those privileges again. We look forward with rest in our hearts knowing God is faithful to His chosen as the writer of the hymn penned. This comes with every kind thought and wish in Him to each.

Detroit and Chicago will be the next NY city. This is crazy isolation people we have the internet use it during this time. With so many elderly their is no reason for the delay. Gotomeeting.com is a real app use it!please!!! No, the first "Michigan Meetings Stop" letter was sent March 13. I am reposting it here now: " 13 March 2020 AM Your patience and understanding as we navigate unprecedented conditions here in Michigan, regarding the Coronavirus has been appreciated. It seems every hour there is a new development, of which we often hardly know the validity. However, we also feel a strong sense of responsibility to take cue from our health officials in the state. Michigan has now closed all K - 12 schools, currently on a temporary basis. We felt we needed to consider our fellowship meetings, which include a large number of elderly and those with compromised health concerns. Often, school closings are used as a guideline as to whether or not there was a meeting, be it fellowship, bible study or gospel meeting. After much discussion and consulting, it seems wise to me, to immediately, temporarily suspend all fellowship meetings ( including bible studies ) in the state for the remainder of March 2020. We will likely have a clearer picture by April, at which time, we can reassess the situation. Some might find it helpful during these coming weeks to have a little quiet time together as a family or individually. This could be during the time we would normally be attending our meeting, even though we would not have the emblems. Perhaps singing a couple hymns and sharing a thought from the Bible among each other. It might also be good to make an effort to reach out to others in your meeting with a short phone call, text, letter or email, especially those who might truly be quarantined at home or in a facility. I would like to think this is a very temporary period, but I also know the Lord knows no boundaries or limitations, and as David could write, he had never seen the righteous forsaken or His people begging bread. God has always known a way to feed and provide for His people and He will during these days. This comes with every kind wish in Him. Gxxx, and the Michigan staff."
