Some say this planet is God's handy work, some say not but what ever it is in these times of anxiety we can take our minds and see the wonders of our world. i hope you enjoy this video. I know this is nothing to do with the intents of this board but ask that it could be left here for all to see and that others could add from their places and in that we can have a type of fellowship with one on other. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jypK2U1AM0

Thank you Speak for starting this thread. You are right, the beauty of nature is something we can all enjoy, and worth spending time looking and learning about. Love the video you posted. NZ sure is a paradise. Never made it over there, one of the few countries I ever wanted to visit. Too late now, our travelling days are over. Members of our Family visit there frequently. Our oldest Son and his mates have flown to Christchurch several times, and gone across on the walking trail to Queenstown. He says one of the best walks in the World, takes them a week to do it. My contribution " The Great Ocean Road". In the 1960's lived at Apollo Bay, and Peterborough near the 12 Apostles. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsXlj3CqUdM

The first few minutes of mountain and lake and clay cliffs are my back yard. Where I roam in days off.

Looks pretty similar to what we see in Alberta. We are a combination of The Rocky Mountains and prairie. Foothills in between. I have traveled a lot but when I go camping in the mountains about an hour from where I live I truly feel that I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Utah definitely has some great scenery. Driven through it many times, but have also explored the side roads from time to time too. I have seen a lot of the US. Many beautiful scenic drives.

Was in Calgary in Sept last year and really enjoyed trips into Rockies, Drumheller, Pinchser creek, Waterton, and so on. Good not having to pay for any accommodation along the way. Love the rocked strata and the lakes but extremely disappointed with toilet facilities at some places. But aside from that we loved our trip.

That southern coast through and around Apollo Bay, and Peterborough near the 12 Apostles was a good and nice day trip for us when we were staying in Melbourne on a visit with our son.

The Great Ocean Road is marvellous. Did a good part of it in 2018. Would love to return. NZ would be great to visit, if only to meet up with Virgs! I expect there's a few here in NZ would like to see you when you come. That would be marvellous fixit. The brain cells are activated! I just had a quick glance at my bucket list and the top three items are: 1) To establish the relevance of rice in Grats's dietry habits. 2) To re-visit the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Oz, and all that, that entails. 3) To visit NZ and visit my circle of TMB pals (Virgs, fixit, etc). Item 1 is unlikely to ever happen, but it must remain a top priority on my list. We should never give up on these things. Items 2 & 3, whilst pie in the sky as things stand with the COVID-19 epidemic and the fishing row between the UK and France, may be a possibility further down the road? Perhaps a combined venture?

Yes accomodations are expensive and I understand what you mean about the 'facilities'. I loved touring Australia and seeing the very imaginative ways their 'facilities' flushed. Every country is different, though the States and Canada are pretty similar. I used to be amused by 'facilities' in Mexico. In the larger places when you wanted to go to use the toilet someone was outside selling a couple of pieces of toilet paper and you very rarely could flush it. Now with toilet paper shortages, maybe they had the right idea!

Thanks Speak. If you happen to see Virgs please give him my kindest regards! Why don't you visit Virgs and Speak at the same time when you come? That my dear fixit, would be like all my Christmasses having come at once! This is the very thing of dreams. And sometimes dreams come true! But we must not forget the utmost priority. Grats....is it yes or is it no?
