The message at the end of this was forwarded to me but it was written by one of our friends in Seattle that I know personally. I think it’s worth sharing. Last night this all became very real to me when I received a message from Ecuador with a picture of one of our friends being loaded in an ambulance. He is the man from the $#$#^ convention grounds and is very sick. He’s been a pillar among us and his death would be a huge loss. His son is also in ICU. He brought the virus home to the farm without realizing it. The two brother workers in the field were staying in a building on the grounds there so may also be ‘contaminated’. Fortunately they are both young so should be ok IF they do get it.
“Today I had to go to ICU where there are 20 CoVid positive patients. Marya, it’s the most traumatizing thing I have ever seen. They are all on their stomachs - most have over 50 lines running. On the outside of every single door is a large sign that says “DNR”. (Do Not Resuscitate) There are some very young and some very old. We have lost 19 patients already to CoVid at our Campus- I promise you anyone that saw this would never leave their house till this is done! To see nurses and Drs crying wearing their space mask suits - it’s life changing. Please feel free to share this text to anyone that has any doubts whether this thing is real or not! And thank u, thank u, for staying home!!”

Conventions have been canceled. This happened to be a man and his son that apparently live at the convention place. And the workers there were visiting. That's what it sounds like anyway.

So convention was not going on when the Sanchez family became ill with Coronavirus.

Apparently the couple's son is also in hospital with cv19. And a couple workers quarantined on the grounds but have no symptoms.

Also apparently others were inflected there also and the two brother workers. I find it interesting that the son was blamed for bringing the virus home to his parents. But the virus can be passed to others without anyone showing symptoms. And with the amount of workers flying around the world from country to country how easy would that be to bring viruses to the people of poorer countries? Matthew 23:15 KJV Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

Word came during the night of the passing away of don Jose Sánchez, of the convention grounds at Las Mercedes, Ecuador. That’s both husband and wife, who have died because of this corona virus. Plus their son, Orlando, who was a little more than 50 yrs of age, the eldest of their 8 children. Jose was 78, his wife maybe a little less. What sorrow there will be amongst all there, and for all who knew that wonderful couple. They were amongst the first to profess in that district, in 1986. It was a wonderful time when sisters first took the Gospel there, under difficult physical circumstances such as we know nothing of here in our generation. Before long brothers came and took over that area, but the Lord moved the sisters to go there first, when invited by a girl from there, who was working in the city. (((()))) Sad

From Scott Porter - Ecuador Dear friends,
Many would know by now that our family here in Las Mercedes, Ecuador has now lost its third member don José, husband to señora Lilia and father to Orlando, all three of whom passed away from CoVid19. The Las Mercedes convention grounds and owners have, like so many convention grounds with their owners, been a pillar of stability and help throughout the years. Now we keenly feel this loss and the vacuum it has created.
Mother Lilia 77 years old passed away 3/30/2020
Son Orlando 57 or 58 years old passed away 3/31/2020
Father, José 78 or 79 passed away 4/4/2020
A few others of the family have had mild symptoms that are hardly worth mentioning. Perhaps Covid 19, perhaps not…. Health-wise at this time everyone is doing well.
Juan and I are doing very well. We have been undeservedly cared for and treated like royalty and I can think of nothing to complain about. Want to say thank you to all for your care, for reaching out and communicating, and ask your forgiveness for not being able to appropriately respond. No text, letter, or phone call has gone unappreciated! Thank you!
Some things to remember:
There has been an exceedingly high amount of communication concerning this situation, but this situation is not unique. For all the world over and since time began, human beings and families have suffered hardly-imaginable anguish, hardship, loss, and great loneliness. Whether professing or not, our friend or not, we want to show to everyone a love and care that would manifest the life and doctrine of the one we follow. As someone said (which echos a familiar verse), our Savior and His Father loved the whole world. And Christ gave himself for it.
Remember to remember those who are unremembered and love them with a divine love.
Remember the goal and don't lose sight of it! It is the goal!
Remember to not let your guard down! We have no way yet of knowing where exactly we are in this storm, there is no radar system that will give us any indication as to how big it is, how strong its winds shall be, nor where its lightning shall strike, but we know in whom we have believed and are persuaded that He is able to keep that which we’ve committed unto Him against that day. So remember to just have faith. Remember to commit daily. An external storm need not become an internal storm.
Remember you yourself! Don’t get distracted!
Remember the basics and make them crucial to your day.
Remember to flee apathy.
Remember that in Peter’s darkest hour (that we know of) (and his dark hour was self-inflicted even) the rooster crowed. There is no herald of the natural dawn more faithful than the rooster. Even in Peter’s darkest hour the message was given - The Dawn is near! It is both at once a warning and a message of hope, and I am convinced that Peter did not need to wait till the Dawn of Jesus’ resurrection to make things right with God. Remember, the Dawn is nearing!
I’ll let this be for now, take care, and with love,

Thank you, Gill, for sharing these. I love that Scott warned about apathy. Have been thinking about that for a few years.

Am reminded of that Stattler bros. song :'if you don't love your neighbour then you don't love God.' We all need a little love and help and even if it isn't always appreciated, it makes me feel better, but usually I find reaching out to another is mostly reciprocated. Thought that was well said
