Don't think stuttering causes blank stares or walking off the sidewalk and around the bushes. That really confused his security detail. Trump is a strong leader enemies knew that and feared him. On the other had Biden went into a fetal position when a reporter gave him an unscripted question.  Our enemies  only laughed at Trump!Â
It was our allies in other democratic countries  that "feared"  Trump but not because he was so "strong" but rather they feared his ignorance and crazy antics would get us all entangled in another world war!PS: Also. Just when was this supposed to have happened that Biden  "went into a fetal position?" Our allies and enemies alike laughed at Trump. I heard NPR interview the Canadian Minister of [something - trade maybe?] and she said something interesting though. They were talking about his threat to put a massive tariff on steel, and the hosts were acting like Trump would never do such a "crazy" thing. The Canadian rep said words to the effect of, "when Trump says something, he follows through on it. So we take his negotiations very seriously". Trump was a colossal buffoon. But for all of his arrogant grandstanding, he was laughed at in public, and taken seriously behind closed doors. Biden is a traditional American president. I'm afraid however, he is taken seriously in public, but laughed at behind closed doors. I don't read into his now-iconic head down, eyes closed response to the unscripted question. That could well be his method of thoughtfully considering the question. It makes for bad optics though.

But he was a bit like Nathan in that most of his answers were stock phrases he pulled out of his ask anyway.

Which may work is some negotiations with sane people, but can go sideways quickly when a group of right wing nut-jobs are dumb enough to believe you.

Here's Trump: His largest rally 50,000 and his smallest rally 5,000. Hitler drew very large rallies as well! Is that the yardstick you use to judge a person to be someone you can trust?
Even as early as 1923 Hitler drew large crowds.
The rallies usually were held in late August or September, lasted several days to a week, and drew hundreds of thousands of Party members and spectators, including hundreds of foreign journalists . The rallies included rousing speeches by the FĂĽhrer (Hitler) that were often the occasion for the announcement of new Nazi directions. For example, in 1935 the racist NĂĽrnberg Laws were promulgated against the Jews.
Those large crowds that Trump drew is one of the things that was and still is so scary for me. To see so many people who seemed to be just like Trump!
I had thought that we had progressed as a people and a nation beyond such gross irresponsibility towards others who shared our world.
Trump showed such rudeness & lack of respect for anyone who differed from himself and he encouraged the same lack of respect in others.

There are still folks who think he's on the verge of being reinstated! The longer those nuts play "throw the flint" in the tinderbox of conspiracy... it is worrisome! One spark and we could have another Jan 6th. There's another reason that Biden's lack of competence has been distressing for me - it gives fuel to the right-wing loons who think the election was stolen and are needing whatever excuse to unite and ignite.

For me, the criticism of Biden is a) 100% legit, and b) not a "Democrat/Republican" issue. I have no doubt that were (for example) Hillary Clinton in the WH, we would not see this sort of ill-planned disaster. Clinton, like Trump, would never allow the Taliban to dictate the terms of anything, nor would've made the sorts of mistakes we're seeing here. I'm nonpartisan especially on this issue - this is an issue with both Biden's cognition and with the impression of his weakness that our allies and enemies alike are being treated to.

The reason why Biden has to deal with the Taliban is because the president of Afghanistan left and the government collapsed. There is no one else in Afghanistan to deal with any more, except the Taliban, and the US is in no position to run the country on its own. The one thing NO ONE anticipated was the sudden complete collapse of the Afghan government. Of course there is one other option -- ISIS-K. Good luck with that one.

It's like having to choose between a state controlled by the American Freedom Party or the White Aryan Resistance!

The Mujahiden were supplied arms by the USA for its war with the Soviets. They are a far more dangerous animal than the Mujahiden. Now if every country would just leave them alone for say a hundred years then they might be able to get back to a normal life, or what passes for a normal life in those parts of the world.

The families of the 13 killed say Biden had a scripted speech, and talked more about his son than theirs. Some quotes One mother: "Before the meeting, Kathy McCollum told SiriusXM Patriot radio on Saturday that she was woken up at 4am by two Marines telling her that her son had died. “I never thought in a million years [my son] would die for nothing, for nothing, because that feckless, dementia-ridden piece of crap who decided he wanted a photo-op on September 11. That’s what kills me,” she said" A sister of a grieving, pregnant wife of another: "“You cannot kneel on our flag and pretend you care about our troops. You can’t f*** up as bad as he did and say you’re sorry. This did not need to happen, and every life is on his hands,” Ms McCollum said. “The thousands of Afghans who will suffer and be tortured is a direct result of his incompetence.”" A father: ""When he just kept talking about his son so much it was just – my interest was lost in that. I was more focused on my own son than what happened with him and his son,” Mr Schmitz said. “I’m not trying to insult the president, but it just didn’t seem that appropriate to spend that much time on his own son.”" A sister:  "“I hope you burn in hell! That was my brother!”" Another father: " ...Mr Biden checked his watch every time a coffin was taken off the plane. “They would release the salute, and he would look down at his watch on every last one, all 13, he looked down at his watch,” Mr Hoover told Fox. “As a father, seeing that and the disrespect, and hearing from his former leaders, one of [Taylor’s] master sergeants said … that this was avoidable – that they left them over there: They had them over there and let them down, and we can’t have that. It can’t happen ever again,” he added." Another mother: "The emotion from families has become so heated that one woman, Shana Chappell, mother of 20-year-old Lance Corporal Kareem M Nikoui, said her Instagram account was deleted and a Facebook post removed for criticizing Mr Biden. “It seems Instagram took it upon themselves to delete my account because i [sic] am assuming it was because i gained so many followers over my sons death due to Biden’s negligence, ignorance and him being a traitor!” Ms Chappell posted on Facebook" www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/afghanistan-kabul-blast-marine-father-killed-b1911989.htmlMeanwhile at CNN: in a short couple of paragraphs which mostly focus on Joe's son and how empathetic he is, "At least one of the family members of the 13 service members has criticized Biden publicly."    www.cnn.com/world/live-news/afghanistan-kabul-taliban-us-news-08-31-21/h_9916ef78ffdf122fd594506e095fad53Thanks CNN. The president you elected is getting harder and harder to cover. Little wonder FOX News took 94 or the top 100 cable News shows in August. www.forbes.com/sites/markjoyella/2021/08/31/fox-news-nearly-sweeps-top-100-highest-rated-telecasts-in-august/

Our enemies only laughed at Trump!
It was our allies in other democratic countries that "feared" Trump but not because he was so "strong" but rather they feared his ignorance and crazy antics would get us all entangled in another world war!PS: Also. Just when was this supposed to have happened that Biden "went into a fetal position?" That's the point! They feared him. The enemy also feared Patton because they knew they were inferior to his style. Here's Biden's limits: He couldn't get a rally of more than a couple dozen to attend. Here's Trump: His largest rally 50,000 and his smallest rally 5,000. The bit about Patton being feared is funny. When the Nazi's counter attacked they attacked the sector where Patton was because they did not fear him. In fact, the complete opposite.

How many times do you have to be told that Biden did not hand over any weapons. The weapons that were left there, were largely the property of the Afghan Army. Supplied by the USA but no longer the property of the USA. The Afghan Army and political leadership was very much like the set up in South Vietnam. Both have folded as soon as the USA pulled out. The question you really need to be asking yourself is, Why did they fold?

The first guy sounds like someone with no good ideas for actually improving electron integrity and security and instead wants to pretend to be a tuff guy to get votes from his largely ignorant base. Dim-wit. The second needs to learn her history. The amount of phone data the government seized in the pretense of fighting terrorism after 9/11 was staggering. And we all applauded it because we didn't want more terrorism attacks. Terror is terror, and right-wing groups can take their own medicine. Some of those Jan 6th conspirators and Confederate flag-flying traitors should be getting waterboarded in gitmo right now.

Good on her. I respect people who are consistent regardless of their political beliefs, and are loyal to their principles rather than a person or party.

Has she gone RINO or something? Backing Sleepy Joe will only encourage him and the left to continue to destroy America.
