I suppose he saw I Love Lucy growing up, and thought, "Ricky Ricardo was Puerto Rican*, right? And besides, I love tacos!" *Cuban, actually.

youtube.com/shorts/ddIyPa9xLGg?feature=share"Don't f--- with a Biden" I don't think less of Biden for this hot mic moment - gaffe perhaps, but not one that makes us think poorly of him. I've appreciated his and de Santis' seemingly apolitical hurricane response. de Santis has also been very complimentary of Biden and the Feds for their assistance and support.

Gazpacho police. Don't get me started on all the interesting things she's said! Who knew peach trees had dishes? She's a Q Anon conspiracy member. I'm beginning to think she believes all of the off the wall things Q puts out there.

Dang he must have missed the memo, being a potty mouth like Orange man is evil... lol - it is kind of a "pot calling the kettle black... so it'll vote for him" type moment. I'm just happy to see snippets where he's coherent and seems with it. In a way I'm rooting for him, not because I've ever particularly liked him, but because I'm legitimately worried about his mental faculties in dealing with the possibility of a nuclear war. In his day, he was a quasi-competent and forceful senator*. We need Senator Joe Biden's brain and resolve right about now. *In a pretty weak field, but I've watched some of his former speeches and he can occasionally make sense.

Truth?
Biden's son died from a brain tumor in the early 2000's...

Biden: I'm the father of a son who died in Iraq.. Truth? Biden's son died from a brain tumor in the early 2000's... If recollection serves, his cancer was thought to be in part triggered by chemical exposure during his tour in Iraq, so I'll give that one a 2/5 on the Gaffe-o-Meter. Any other president and that becomes one of the iconic gaffe moments of his presidency, but it's in a strong Gaffe field with Old 46.

Quid Pro Joe.
Withholding military aid to Arabia unless they release the oil to us.
As he needs lower gas prices going into the NOV election.
What is the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah, impeachment...

I have no idea why the States hasn't cut Saudi off a long time ago. They were the funders behind 911 and still they were pandered to by the US. They are a terrorist state country. Providing arms to them is like giving them permission to beat you up!

I didn't like Trump's supposed "Quid pro Quo" impeachment. It seemed politically motivated. However, the Democrats set the standard for impeachment for this sort of thing. Just like they set the standard for not indicting Clinton for her treatment of classified material. It will be very interesting.
On principle, I agree with Biden. SA doesn't need a single cent or a single bullet unless they are giving us something useful back. 100% back the move. The 'just delay till after the election' tactic is shady, but that's DC politics.
However, I also backed the move by Trump to tell Zelensky (who campaigned on anti-corruption) that he needs to investigate the business dealings of Hunter Biden, if we're going to keep financing their weapons. 100% back the move. The 'oh yeah - and he's a political opponent' tacti is shady, but that's DC politics.
Another case of parallels, to go with Trump, Clinton and the classified material. We'll see if this gets an impeachment. I'm guessing....? Naw... it's Joe after all. He's a swell guy.

Providing arms to them is like giving them permission to beat you up! We would, but we very self-righteously don't want to develop our own oil-fields (despite the fact that we can do it in a more environmentally responsible manner than most countries). So we finance terrorists states to do our dirty work (literally). And then they hold it over us as leverage. In times of sudden crisis and shortage, this leads to the exact and predictable sort of thing we see here. This is why the best way to develop green energy is to become energy independent by developing our own traditional energy. I guarantee it's not a priority of the Saudis to drive around in electric cars, so until we can generate the kind of revenue they do off our energy exports, our technology will move slowly. And in times of crisis, it will grind to a halt in favor of existing, cheaper tech. We need a period of prolonged peace and prosperity in a country dedicated to green energy to really get over the hill. But we also need to sell weapons and undermine our enemies, which is problematic.

We could between the two countries keep our countries going until we have enough green energy to take over.

Umm what's wrong with fact checking anything a politician says no matter what party they are? This is bad how? If it's wrong it needs to be corrected.

Banting and Best were the discoverers of Insulin. Charles Best didn't die until 1978. It's true that they wanted insulin available to everyone. He very well could have talked to Best.

It was Banting first then he took on Best, Macleod and later Collip got involved. Only Banting and Macleod were recognized for their work with the Nobel. That's because he was a graduate student when he was with Banting. Banting shared the award money with him. He was there, he was part of the discovery and he knew that their team wanted it to be free so it is still very probable that he talked to Best who Banting was upset about him not being nominated for the award with them. www.nobelprize.org/prizes/themes/august-krogh-and-the-nobel-prize-to-banting-and-macleod/Letter from August Krogh to Göran Liljestrand dated February 4, 1924. “I understand that the prize to Banting and Macleod ignoring other coworkers has not been met with absolute consent on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean and that especially Banting is offended by the fact that Best was not included. However, I am convinced that the correct choice was made.”
