So long as people protect what they think is "God's Kingdom"(The Truth, The Way, The Friends, The Workers) the problem will remain. Im sure many know of cases currently that should be dealt with but cannot be because saints and servants are protecting "The Kingdom". Sad!, and severly misguided!. How can they be misguided when they have a personal relationship with God and are constantly getting detailed guidance through prayer? Only one place in the bible were is says what it is to know God. He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?” declares the Lord. - Jeremiah 22:16 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah22:16&version=NIV

Pragmatic, the smoke was the wrong colour, it should have been as white as snow. I would say the smoke that you got over in NZ, was all the four day talk going up in smoke. There have not been any earth shattering announcements since the Convention. Sounds like a normal Worker's meeting, "Up in Smoke". Anyway, thanks for the red sun and beautiful sunsets. Also, the haze helps to lower our summer temperatures (not today though). The smoke has had an interesting effect on our snow. I arrived back a couple of days ago from a solo climb of Huxley. The glacier and snowfields on the north side were tinged a pink/brown colour. Until more snow arrives to cover it they look quite odd. Looking at schrunds and down in crevasses I see past examples of this. Some are tens of metres down, buried by thousands and thousands of years of snow fall.

What fred has written is correct, both about changes and to quote him "rank and file dissatisfaction with management, related attitudes and decisions". An updated New South Wales Workers' List was issued yesterday - replacing the list issued two weeks ago. As I am not a member of the church, my only interest in it relates to the OP on this thread where I questioned whether there was a process for dealing with breaches of the Child Safety Policy and Worker Code of Conduct rolled out during 2019, given that a recent very public breach by the NSW Head Worker had added to the pain felt by victims of Child Sexual Abuse. We have supported one particular victim for years who was both appallingly abused and then subsequently appallingly treated by the ministry as per the opening story on the Sixty Minutes program. Based on the updated New South Wales (NSW) list and what I have been advised today, Allan Kitto is no longer the head worker in NSW and Graham Snow is moving from Western Australia to NSW along with Wayne Dean moving back from South Australia to NSW.
I am sure victims of Child Sexual Abuse within the church over the years who have been shunned or badly mistreated will welcome these changes. Both Graham and Wayne are decent guys and approachable. There is obviously a fair amount of work to do but it seems the process has started. If Wayne Dean is moving back to NSW who will then be the head worker in South Australia?
