So I can describe them but atheists have made me very hesitant to cast my pearls before swine. Probably wise .. People are very skeptical about those who attest that they have seen or heard Christ. Even people who claim to have seen aliens are mocked. I only know the bible's description; "He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him" (Isaiah 53:2). And according to Isaiah 50:6, he had a beard..
I'm going to say something that might be construed as being very controversial here; Merry Christmas
He wasn’t especially eye-catching, but in no way disfigured per se. I couldn’t remember seeing a beard because I was busy looking at his hands and feet. The other details I was becoming aware of etc, but with a robe over his head, his face was in kind of a shadow and I understand the importance of that. He didn’t have long hair, I remember that much. It was such a moment of connection for me with my Savior that I wasn’t particularly thinking about any aspect of what we normally do when meeting another person for the first time. And I feel that was meant to be by him. It wasn’t a human to human moment. The on-going results just confirm to me it was very real. There’s things I’ve experienced since that visit from Jesus gave me the where-with-all to make it through some very tough things. I’ve thought about that poem “Footprints in the Sand” many times and it certainly describes my past 20 some years for truly times Jesus had to carried me to get me on over the terrain it was so awful.

The bible claims a number of things that are just not true. Genesis 22:17 - I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies. That was in the beginning, where there is a beginning there is always an ending. The ending has not come yet. A conservative estimate is that there are ten billion trillion stars. Than number of descendants is a physical impossibility - now or in the future.

The gospel of Jesus Christ will continue to go forth throughout the Universe After Jesus has returned as King of kings and LORD of lords... more sheep/stars need to be brought in during the 1000 yrs reign. Satan will be cast in the bottomless pit of hell during this time so, he can't deceive anyone to turn from God but they must make their own mind whether to EAT the TREE of Life/ to choose to be with Christ or NOT.

He will reign in righteousness for a 1000 years however it says that at the end of that millennial reign Satan will be loosed from the bottomless pit and will go out and gather the nations against Christ and the saints in Jerusalem. So after a 1000 years if no Satan and a rule of righteousness, there will still be all nations who will gather against Christ and his saints which include the post tribulation converted Jews. Then Jesus can judge in righteousness because the nations will have had a 1000 years of righteousness example and rule but because man’s heart is always evil. They will war against Christ and his saints in the end. Which God will destroy them who do fight against Christ and his elect. Revelations is clear that men will blaspheme God when it’s all said and done, they will not turn to glorify his name.

What insight!
When did you come to that conclusion??Oh, how do you go about knowing which is the metaphor and which is the literal?

There will be more people humans, and trillions intelligence beings need to be SAVED during Jesus Christ 1000 yrs reign on the earth and throughout the Trillions galaxies! in the Universe/s.
1) The time of the Gentiles will be full when the rapture occurs. The tribulation is to bring the remnant of the Jews to Christ. ~~ Yes, this is correct when Jesus returns, the Godhead has given the Gentiles from all nations opportunity for (2000 yrs) to hear the gospel will come to an end. Read Rev. 11:1-4; Romans 11:22-26
Paul wrote: Romans 11:22-26 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
For if thou were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
2) He will reign in righteousness for a 1000 years however it says that at the end of that millennial reign Satan will be loosed from the bottomless pit and will go out and gather the nations against Christ and the saints in Jerusalem. So after a 1000 years if no Satan and a rule of righteousness, there will still be all nations who will gather against Christ and his saints which include the post tribulation converted Jews. ~~ When jesus returns He and His Old and New Testament believers will RULE over the earth and beyond for 1000 yrs. Jude 14-15 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
3) Then Jesus can judge in righteousness because the nations will have had a 1000 years of righteousness example and rule but because man’s heart is always evil. They will war against Christ and his saints in the end. Which God will destroy them who do fight against Christ and his elect. Revelations is clear that men will blaspheme God when it’s all said and done, they will not turn to glorify his name. ~~ Read Rev. 20:1-10 And I/John the apostle saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

If I remember correctly the battle of Armageddon is supposed to take place before the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. All the armies will be lined up against Israel - the Battle of Armageddon, gog and magog - preparing to attack then Jesus returns, puts a stop to it and then he rules and reigns for a 1,000 years. After the 1,000 years the devil is let lose and so on. The Battle of Armageddon takes place at the end of the great tribulation not the end of the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. I haven't studied it for a while but the internet also confirms what I remember.

After the 1,000 years the devil is let lose and so on. The Battle of Armageddon takes place at the end of the great tribulation not the end of the 1,000 year reign of Jesus. I haven't studied it for a while but the internet also confirms what I remember. The battle Jesus has at first coming is the Judgment of the goats and sheep. It’s how the nations have treated Israel during the 7 year tribulation and the destruction of the Antichrist in the third temple. The goats are Israel’s adversaries and the sheep are Israel and any one who has been their ally. Armageddon is a valley in Israel. From what Jews say it is here that the survivors of the tribulation/Antichrist’s killing of the Jews will be. A kind of wilderness desert. I saw a picture of that valley, it had been settled many, many years ago for there are still some half stone walls here and there. Otherwise it’s pretty well uninhabited. A lot grown over with tall grasses and weeds, or at least were in 2012 when the picture was taken. Zechariah 14 describes part of this destruction by the cleaving of Mount of Olives. Naturally that has to be an earthquake. This will destroy present day Jerusalem and the third temple.. It even speaks about the earthquake in Hezekiah’s days. The war against “God’s people” described in Zechariah appears to be against the nation of Israel. Again we have to remember that from OT times, that God’s chosen people are the children of Israel. This is the end of the tribulation where the 1/3rd of Jews who survive will invite or cry for Jesus to come back to Jerusalem. Thus those Jews will dwell with Jesus and his saints in the New Jerusalem that will be in the great valley where Mount Olive has splintered in two. A new and fourth temple will be built for Jesus to sit in the throne of David for a thousand years. The biggest and worst battle will be at the end of the millennial reign when Satan is released “for a little while” and he gathers ALL nations against Jesus and his saints in the New Jerusalem. This is the war that God will consume the enemy where they stand. As Nathan said it’s hard to divide the end times especially because they are run together sometimes.

OP opening quote: "Lately even before finding this site I’ve been making excuses to not go to meetings. I stress so much about finding something to speak on no matter how much I read every day. "
I have not read any of the forgoing posts. Many worth reading I'm sure, But anyway...
I've struggled over the years with how to approach, and how to regard this sentiment. For myself, one of the things I promised myself when I re-professed in my mid 20's was, I was NOT going to go to meeting, unless I WANT to. I realized how poisonous going when you didn't want to, or were not inclined to, was, for me. I also promised myself that my kids could go, or not, after the age of "I must be about my father's business...". If religion couldn't stand on it's own, truth, and merits, well then... it didn't deserve their attention. I don't know, but I think this promise, and sticking to it (for the most part) "saved" me, from a lot of the ill will and memories that I often see here.
I could go on, but that would be it, on and on... So to keep it short. Or at least short comments. Regarding a testimony, I found the best for me was to notice things in my day to day life that rang a bell to something I would remember from the bible/meetings/testimonies, whatever. Then I would often seek to look for the vrs that had been triggered, or if nothing specific came to mind, I'd look for a verse/chapter/story that coincided with what I had in mind. That seemed to make it all real for me. I also very much enjoyed the testimonies, particularly of one fellow, which seemed to also relate his real life to biblical passages. Even though some were a bit strained (the like of which I have seen ridiculed here). But I appreciated the effort and well intentioned, meaningful to him, relevant testimony. Isn't that what a testimony is? I also found that every testimony forthright or obligatory, was it's own testimony in deeper ways, even though one may not know what to do about it to help.
Couple of other thoughts... I've often felt it might not be a bad idea, courageous, for the workers to say, that unless you Want to go to meeting, you shouldn't. Be honest, act accordingly, respect another's choice. The meetings imo, would nearly immediately be half, but they would be better. Maybe, because Unfortunately, for social pressures/appearances, dishonesty would still exists.
I especially love and respect two kinds of go'ers. Those who want to, and also those who feel they should for love, solidarity, being there even if you don't feel like it, for oneself and the fellowship/mutual help of one another. One has to feel for others. Though what to do I don't know. Except, be honest, give your actual testimony.

Enuf: Gog and Magog speak to nations coming against Israel. The Gog and Magog in Ezekiel is presently building with (Iran)Persia, Hungary and Rush(Russia) all building up in Syria. There are Russian forces right on Israel borders now. This war is the beginning of tribulation. The Gog and Magog in Revelations are not necessarily the same nations, but Zechariah describes it as all nations (gathered by Satan) even Judah come against God’s people. Which very well seems to be Israel nation is the target. Listen to Amir Tsarfati’s “Days of Ezekiel” YouTube and he can put it into better sequence since he knows Israel inside out and the OT as well! youtu.be/wWfK7T3PrHo

Amir gets it lined up with Ezekiel!s prophecies youtu.be/wWfK7T3PrHo** Yes, I have listened the above video from Amir. He is a very interesting man for sure, I enjoy listening his Video Jesus is the Emmanuel= God with us.

Listen to Amir Tsarfati’s “Days of Ezekiel” YouTube and he can put it into better sequence since he knows Israel inside out and the OT as well! youtu.be/wWfK7T3PrHoThat's basically what I said.

Perry Stone is pretty good with prophecy but him and joseph prince request way too many amens its like after every verse or comment they make when they are talking it cheapens it...

I don’t think it cheapens it, but the 2x2s have always been legalistic about showing appreciation and agreement. Though the thread the other day about convention behavior was telling people to be more into saying amen. But I’ve noticed all my life that few of the workers and friends since the second generation are mute on saying amen. Even those that do say it so whispery that not many people can hear it. Amen is not to glorify the speaker but to say “be it so.” Otherwords it’s a way of saying that a person has heard what was said and find it glorifying the Lord.

To say AMEN is to agree with what they are saying or teachings. Most of the time, the friends nods their heads and I appreciate when they do that instead shaken their heads.

The Bible says in the book of Joel and other books that GOD is a spirit, so I have no problem believing there is a HOLY SPIRIT. Of all the years I was a 2x2, very little was preached about how a person would know if the Holy Spirit was indwelling. I had worried for sometime years ago that maybe I didn’t have the Holy Spirit because I didn’t know how to tell if I did. I know the Holy Spirit was guarding me so to speak, but I thought surely I should be able to feel or simply know he was indwelling. Fact is, I don’t remember anyone even talking about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit all those years. But I can say that one can be very aware of his presence. It’s hard to explain but one is just simply aware he’s very much within and affecting you.
