“Read the three gospels again. All mention of him being the Son of God were made by gentiles, not himself.“ Awwwww I nowwwww – you may as well give up sharingtheriches because the teacher is gonna be right come hell or high water if he has to point out that Jesus did not write the book of John where He claimed to be the Son of God in the first person – after all, when one disregards the author of the whole Bible (the Holy Spirit) and tosses the Bible aside or in the trash, the only reason he would reference the Bible would be to discredit whatever it says – one way or another sh.. or bust. It was a teacher who explained to me that in teacher-training in college teachers are indoctrinated that they are never wrong about anything. And he told me that the only teachers that come out of college with teaching certificates that have any grip on reality are those who break after year one, go to work for at least a year, then complete teacher training once they already have a grip on reality. And in discussions with a retired teacher (a member of one of the churches I attend) regarding the posts on this board asked me if “rational' is a teacher – at that time I had to admit, “I don't know what rational's occupation is.” By the way sharingtheriches, in addition to Jesus being “lifted up” like the rod of Moses, He was “lifted up” like the serpent on the pole that Israelites looked upon and were healed of snake-bites. Exactly!

Clarification of the definition of term
From Wikipedia,
Ben adam
Ben adam (Hebrew: בן־אדם son of a man) in biblical Hebrew it simply means human being. or example, "son of man" in Job chapter 25 and Psalm 146 is ben adam,- illustrating the Jewish concept of "son of man".
It is used in rabbinical and modern Hebrew to describe a righteous person, someone who does the right thing.

Barabbas (/bəˈræbəs/; Aramaic: ישוע בר אבא Yeshua Bar ʾAbbaʾ, literally "son of the father" or "son of the teacher"[1]) is a figure mentioned in the New Testament, in which he is an insurrectionary held by the Roman governor at the same time as Jesus, and whom Pontius Pilate freed at the Passover feast in Jerusalem, while keeping Jesus as a prisoner

The first return from that search linked to an article regarding a song. Besides not finding YOUR Wikipedia 'quote'; Wikipedia over one who speaks Hebrew? - are you a former 2x2 teacher too? copied from page one; What does "Son of Man" Mean? www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZ7bh9kH5LIThat was good! Here is the site that I was quoting en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_adam
I like to start a search through wiki which I can then find other sources. I do not depend on "youtube" sites because everyone who THINKS that they are conveyers of wisdom and knowledge want to tell us the what ever stuff they believe!
So, try this site; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_adam
PS: However, it is true that one of the wiki sites refers to Ben Adam the poem. It is a poem my husband loved and lived by.
He could say the whole poem from memory. I cannot do that, -but I did read it at his funeral.
here is the poem
Abou Ben Adhem
Abou Ben Adhem (may his tribe increase!) Awoke one night from a deep dream of peace, And saw, within the moonlight in his room, Making it rich, and like a lily in bloom, An angel writing in a book of gold:—
Exceeding peace had made Ben Adhem bold, And to the Presence in the room he said "What writest thou?"—The vision raised its head, And with a look made of all sweet accord, Answered "The names of those who love the Lord."
"And is mine one?" said Abou. "Nay, not so," Replied the angel. Abou spoke more low, But cheerly still, and said "I pray thee, then, Write me as one that loves his fellow men." The angel wrote, and vanished. The next night
It came again with a great wakening light, And showed the names whom love of God had blessed, And lo! Ben Adhem's name led all the rest.
PPS: I also found the person who produced the youtube you presented: -Christopher Enoch. why do you believe his ideas are more authentic and factual than wiki's?

For the eyes of visitors: "...are you a former 2x2 teacher too?" That question was ignored. Instead a pile of blather tipped with ad hominem - oh, ya gratu finds research "so difficult" ending with implied ad hominem on a Chritopher Enock who detailed what Hebrew "ben adam" meant in Biblical times to Jews. And in between is that pile of blather seemingly aimed at covering over the fact the the source of the wiki-post was not linked, was not found through search engine, but was claimed to be just an "oversight." obviously I'm 'impressed' AND not surprised in the least. At least the link did show up for what was claimed to be "from Wikipedia;" that online encyclopedia on which ANYONE (literate or illiterate) can compose an entry. (Final comp. "a few seconds ago") Poor gratu ....! So much blather 🤔🤨

I guess my helpers on the bumps in the night have all gone to sleep on me, so in order that I can easily find and continue building this thread, its just another unfortunat gratu bumping his head on the wall. Bookmark it and you won't need to bump your head against the wall. I book mark the threads I start so when someone quotes in them I get a notification so I can go read it and respond. Makes it so easy to keep track of your threads.

NEW MOVIE
Marketing The Messiah (Official Trailer)
Who wrote the Bible? How well did they know Jesus? How much did they agree with each other about who Jesus was and what his teachings were? How did a fringe Jewish personality cult from the backwaters of the Roman Empire go from being a superstition to being the official state religion in only 300 years? Marketing The Messiah is a secular history documentary about early Christianity that was funded on Kickstarter and will be hitting a cinema near you in March 2020.

If one wants to believe the bible is divinely inspired, wouldn’t it make sense to know as much as possible about when it was written, where is was written and to whom it was written? If god was thought to have inspired the bible, it only makes sense that it was inspired to the people of ancient Israel rather than people of today..

If there weren't people who believed in supernatural entities called "gods" the word theists wouldn't need to exist; -therefore it is true that we would not even need the word A-theist.
The actual term atheism emerged first in the 16th century. With the spread of freethought, skeptical inquiry, and subsequent increase in criticism of religion, application of the term narrowed in scope.
The first individuals to identify themselves using the word atheist lived in the 18th century during the Age of Enlightenment.
The Enlightenment included a range of ideas centered on the sovereignty of reason and the evidence of the senses as the primary sources of knowledge and advanced ideals such as liberty, progress, toleration, fraternity, constitutional government and separation of church and state.
from wiki
So, -like it or not, -you will have to admit that the atheism that came with Age of Enlightenment is responsible for better life that we all have today.
Without the Age of Enlightenment you "theists" might have a theocracy that told you what you still HAD to believe and monarch who ENFORCED what you had to believe.

For myself, a better life is not one of no ultimate purpose, no definitive meaning, and no hope of anything better or beyond the here & now.
No one can make anyone believe anything, its an individual choice. No theocracy or monarch has the power to make or force belief on anyone.

You wouldn't have even known what to believe, -other than what you were told by those who ruled over you.
Why? Because you would not have been able to read what was written, - you only believe what was told you by others who could read and guess who had that advantage?
