Obituary for Joseph Oren Eicher
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Emma (Schultz) Eicher, his first wife, Beverly (Erickson) Eicher, a brother Carl Eicher, a sister Alice (Eicher) Campbell; a brother-in-law George Ross, and a son-in-law Rick Wiedner.
Joe was born in Council Bluffs, IA; He was in the military service
1942-45 as a nurse in Bethel Alaska. In 1945 he married Beverly Erickson, and both worked at Schick General Military Hospital in Clinton IA. Joe also worked as an accountant & real estate agent with his father, and later, self-employed under Eicher Realty in Dubuque, Iowa.
The Truth of God was always upheld by Joe and Beverly. Their faithfulness in continuing to serve the Lord moved them to welcome the servants and children of God to enjoy fellowship together in their home for years and years; and this would have its affect on the generations that would follow. Joe was an inspiring example of living a faithful life; relentless in his prayers, firm in his integrity, and content.
Joe was married to Betty Jo Reichert in 2004 and resided in Hillsboro, OR; Due to health concerns, he returned to Iowa in December, 2017 where he resided with his daughter, Denice, in Comanche. Denice became his loving caregiver until the day of his death.

Our sincere, heartfelt “thank you” to the Veterans Administration and Hospice for their loving and gentle care shown to Joe.
