Today I got to climb castle peak in California. Very nice hike.
Four weeks ago I climbed Round Top Peak. Also nice.

Today I lost two acquaintances killed in an avalanche on Mt Hicks. Both were qualified guides. IFMGA. But avalanches do not mind who they kill. Couple weeks ago I lost three other acquaintances who were setting off in a helicopter to do some hunting. Five deaths in the outdoor world in a small area hurts. I am glad I no longer climb and am happy just growing spuds.

There are some things I've decided not to do any more. Take good care of yourself.
