Anyone have a contact number for someone from Tennessee where I can buy their second hymnbook of friends and workers?
PLEASE, PM me, don't put it public. Unless you know it's okay to do so.
Thank you.

Speaking of hymn books... Awhile back someone here said the Hymns Old and New is probably as close to written doctrine as our fellowship would get. I liked that and have more recently been thinking I should do a study of all the hymns to see what is scriptural and what is not. I wasn't sure how to take on that project, but I decided a good start would be to check the hymns we sing in a meeting. That would be about 3 hymns a week if only Sunday meetings are included.
Any thoughts? Since this came to mind, I have just been taking note in my head as to whether I know scripture that fits. No problem including non-fellowship authors, because those hymns were chosen for the book by people who are in the fellowship.

You might want to check out this website (not one of mine!) so that your study supplements rather than duplicates work that has already been done. sites.google.com/site/hymnsoldandnew/home/sources-of-hymns

If anyone wants to buy the 2x2 s hymn books - I have several that I'm willing to sell. I have several of the 1950s edition and more of the 1980s edition. I don't mind who buys them - in or out of the group, it's not an issue for me. PM me on here to make the arrangements.

Hi bfvernon -- do you have any with the cloth board bindings of the 1950s edition? Typically green, I think -- maybe there were other colors as well.

It's in pretty sad shape as it was my first hymn book. I couldn't write too well when I put my name in it so much have been pretty young.

I read that Donald Davidson and Emy Nelson were creating a new book of recent hymns written by the workers and friends.

Yes, I have the green one. And several of the little ones with words only. I'm not at home at present, it will be a couple of weeks before I could get them. I'm very happy to see them go to people who are interested. I have a collection made up for my grandchildren so that they can understand it all, if they are interested. But there's plenty of spares!

I read that Donald Davidson and Emy Nelson were creating a new book of recent hymns written by the workers and friends. That is the hymn book I'm writing about. I finally figured out the email address and have spoken to Emmy herself. Supposedly both 1 $ 2 books are in their way. Actually there were more involved in the picking of sings. There were some friends from Tennessee involved. I'd done some notation for one of the friends which has about 6 songs in book number 2.
