Recently I attended a funeral of a Catholic mate of mine. During the Mass a lady sang " Here I am Lord". Wonderful hymn, worth listening to. youtu.be/EcxOkht8w7cAbsolutely beautiful hymn. I had not heard of it before. Thank you.

The Redback was victor Magpie. She got that nasty Bullant. I don't like Bullants, one bit me on the bum at Dandenong Convention ground. It was not Convention time, must have been preps, and I was with Mum and Dad when they made a visit. We were sitting on the ground under one of those gum trees in the carpark, having a picnic lunch, with some Workers. The Bullant done a job on me. I sure had a numb bum, and Mum was unable to kiss it better. That happened more than 70 years ago, but still remember, it hurt.

That's interesting. We have a nursing near our house and there is a woman that sits out on the street and smokes her cigarettes in all kinds of weather. But she is the most friendly and gregarious lady you could ever meet. She talks to anyone walking by and waves to people all the time with a great big smile on her face. She has most people waving back and feeling a little better just because they see a happy friendly face.

Smiling Is Infectious Author Spike Milligan
Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin. When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him. I thought about that smile, then I realized its worth. A single smile, just like mine could travel round the earth. So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected. Let's start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!

Thanks Snow, I love it to. A simple message choose to be in tune with creation, no confusion, no argument, just happiness to share with others. When will they learn???.

Too bad they missed the boat! In all the fairy tales they are profiled as air heads. Beautiful airheads though, that only are attracted to virgins.

Thanks Alvin, wonderful, love your choice of music. Seekers, my vintage, went to school with Athol Guy who plays the double bass. Great Australian group.

Thanks Alvin, a very happy Christmas to you and yours. I think Canadians and Australians have a lot in common. Both good countries to live in, we are so lucky. I enjoy your input to TMB, between us we try to make it a happy, friendly place.

Played this song ,sung by a classy Canadian lady , for another classy Canadian lady who lives with me . I sometimes introduce her as my FIRST wife, to strangers . m.youtube.com/watch?v=5TotwIOi8jsAnd another Canadian singer Rita McNeill m.youtube.com/watch?v=E-EiwiiAh68And before I get kicked out of here for using too much bandwidth I’ll sneak this excellent poem in by Will Carleton . shortstories.ucgreat.com/read/002/777.htmBut you'll protect an old man with his years; And wheresoe'er this story's voice can reach, This is the sermon I would have it preach: Boys flying kites haul in their white-winged birds: You can't do that way when you're flying words. "Careful with fire," is good advice we know: "Careful with words," is ten times doubly so. Thoughts unexpressed may sometimes fall back dead, But God himself can't kill them when they're said! Yon have my life-grief: do not think a minute 'Twas told to take up time. There's business in it. It sheds advice: whoe'er will take and live it, Is welcome to the pain it cost to give it. A lady worker recited this poem more than once in our home and she does an AMAZING recital of it by heart . Precious memories. Will also wrote a poem called DIVORCE Yes , I have also read both poems for when we had young folks over or other groups

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

That's so true. I love people that help me realize my potential. I had an old lady that I used to visit and she was totally my mentor and what I wanted to be when I grew up. Everybody loved her. She was so intelligent, but also so gracious and kind. One thing I like to do is when I see someone mistreating a cashier in front of me and you can see they are having a totally bad day, I like to say something to brighten their day. Something simple like, I love your nails can bring a smile to someone's face. Leave the world a better place because you passed through it. That is sometimes easier said then done though. Especially when I am having a hard day too.
