CSA is epidemic within religious organisations.
And despite strategies having been introduced to prevent CSA in major churches, the positive results have been described as being patchy.
So why would a moderator of this forum stifle a broader focus in a thread about CSA?
If the 2x2 grp was the only church where this abuse was occurring that would be entirely understandable. But of course it is not.
Why restrict the representative(s) of other churches, who are also plagued by CSA, from elaborating on either the successes or failures of the strategies introduced to prevent CSA by their churches?
Religious organisations share similar hierarchecal structures and other characteristics which contribute to an environment where the abuse of the vulnerable is fostered.
The contributing factors within religious bodies can therefore be categorised as generic.
Just reading the few articles below supports a broader consideration of child sex abuse within churches.
To segregate one church from the rest of those plagued by this issue is problematic when the main churches and religions such as Roman Catholicism,, CofE, Judaism etc are under the media spotlight and the research and endeavours made to rectify the abuse are being consistantly evaluated.
Sharing resources and information is therefore vital.
If you are serious about preventing this issue then please don't stifle inquiry.
Any person who is genuinely trying to help stop the abuse wants to share either the successes or failures of the strategies applied in the church they attend and
