I was brought up in the 2x2s/meetings, or whatever you wish to call it. Born and raised in N.Ireland.
Some of my family still go.
I would like to ask some questions to workers. Never could in my day, as you kowtowed to 'Auntie Carrie', 'Uncle Joshua' etc etc....questions in those days were irreverent. I might have got a clip round the ear from my oul dad if I dared asked a question anyway.
I'm out about 30+ years now. I still see the meetings people at funerals and things. All nice people, I have nothing bad to say about them.
I've probably reached the stage now where (sadly) I don't even believe there is any god. The weight of scientific evidence is almost overwhelming. I think religion was created to comfort people, or in some cases, control them. That was always its purpose I fear. I take no pleasure in saying that...its simply the sad conclusion I have come to over the years.
Anyway....There are questions I would like to put to workers. I wondered if there is any here that interact?

I wondered if there is any here that interact? Welcome to TMB. I came to TMB to ask workers questions too but not many here. Maybe some in your area can help you with an actual face to face? There is one here. If you stick around and read some of the current threads you will figure out which one it is. It seems to be common knowledge but I'd rather not point them out. There are a few of us on here that used to be 2x2's but when we left became atheists. If you need any support or help sorting through things I'm sure you just need to ask.

Why not try your questions out here...many here know and can tell you how the workers would answer. We've been there...done that. I'm writing a book on how to question the workers...it's half finished.
There are some ex-workers on here and one worker...

Ask your questions away! and we will try to answer it honestly and truthfully according to our ability.

thanks for all replies. I would like replies to the following. Workers and professing peoples replies are most welcome!
I also want to stress I am not here to bash the meetings. Some of my family still go and I still like and respect all the people I know from my past. Very nice people.
1. do workers/professing people, now accept our religion started around 1900 by a man called William Irvine? Or is that still disputed?
2 If that is accepted, what happened to the millions of people before our 'one true way' was created in late nineteenth century? I presume they must all be doomed then?
3. what about people that live in remote parts of the world (like jungle tribes) that cannot be reached by workers, or in fact any Christian religions. Again these people can never be saved, so are presumably 'doomed' from their birth? That also begs the question, why did god create and place them there then.
4. If you were brought up in the meetings, then you are clearly very lucky, as it's overwhelmingly children of meetings people who profess...through the generations. In my early years, I could count the number of 'outsiders' who came to our meeting, on the fingers of one hand. So heaven will be overwhelmingly populated by generations of families who were born lucky into the 'only true way'. Hmmm.
5. Why did god not just create perfect people from the beginning to live with him? Why did he decide to create little people and place them on planet earth and then play a game of 'will you be saved or not' . Why bother? Why not just create heaven and place perfect people into it at the start. Why create a 'game' that goes on for thousands of years on earth?
6. If god created me, he obviously knows my beginning and my end. Therefore he clearly must know how I will die and the state of my mind when I die. So logically he must know if I will die 'saved' or not. So why try to save me during my lifetime, when my end is predetermined anyway? It can't be a mystery to him....he is an all seeing god who created us and the universe....so please don't tell me he does not know our endings. Therefore the whole concept of trying to win people over and save them is preposterous, is it not?
Look forward to opinions or answers on this.
thanks

Not disputed. The evidence is there. 2. Order; Catholics, Anglican, Methodists, Faith Mission. William Irvine Sect. 3. People are not saved by what denomination they belong to but by their faith in Jesus. Jesus is the way the truth the life not a church started by William Irvine. There have been Christians through out history. The 2x2s is a relatively new denomination / sect. 4. Heaven will be relatively empty if only those who profess through the workers will be there. 5. God did not create robots, man did.

Ah Didn't realise it was all so simple, Wally. lol. "Heaven will be relatively empty if only those who professes through the workers will be there". - It will be relatively empty if the 'converts' of any priests I know are there too, so I personally wouldn't be too hard on one side over the other when it comes to who lands up in heaven
