Rob Pepper is a thoroughly decent bloke who I have a lot of time for regardless of him being a worker. Very good roofer too. His parents too I hold in very high regard. His mother is indeed from Cork and his father from UK Lincolnshire.
I knew the family pretty well back in the day, sadly I only really see them at funerals and such these days. Rob's father is a wise and humble chap, I fully expect Rob is the same.
I hope that answers Your question?

I knew a lady named Pepper (Maude, I think) who came from the UK -- married a man named O'Regan. I shared a room with their son when I went to college. She'd be about 100 now, and has a son and a grandson in the work.

That would have to be them. Maude was never that well a woman, and her husband was a pretty austere character, and I believe Maude never once made a visit back home to see her relatives. I remember he used to sit in convention with a switch in his hand with his 4 sons. Aside from the son who was my roommate, 2 other of the brothers married childhood friends of mine. And if I'm not mistaken, the daughter of one of those guys is married and living in New Zealand. I have no idea what her last name is now.

Does anyone know how one might go about getting in touch with Rob Pepper? I'm sorely in need of decent workers to contact over a rather distressing problem involving a very dear relative of mine. At the moment I'm struggling to find a senior worker who might assist me. In spite of recent experiences that have made me wary of workers, my uncle was a worker for many years and a very decent man, so they clearly exist.

Please don't burden Rob just now, he needs a break. It's probably 'just' burn-out from doing too much, which has lead to major sleep problems, from what I understand. Hopefully he will bounce back stronger than before, but it is taking time.

Totally agree with this. Rob is not the person to contact regarding this issue.
If you are looking to find a worker in England to resolve an issue involving England then basically you need to find someone who Ben Crompton will listen to and take notice of. I think that limits you to either Ben himself or possibly his designated helper David Delaney. If your issue is in Ireland or Northern Ireland, then forget England - they won't come to your aid. You will need to find a worker on Irish soil, or maybe an 'Irish' worker who works elsewhere - e.g. Alan Beggs (Scotland) or again David Delaney.
I know this isn't what you probably want to hear, but I felt it's best to give you an honest opinion.

Is David Delaney the sort of person who is worth contacting over issues in the 2x2s, by non-2x2 people? Is he someone that has a good reputation and is communicative?

Well, to answer my own question, from what people have told me up till this point, Rob Pepper is a very decent man but not to be contacted due to his ill-health. David Delaney I'm told (rightly or wrongly) is not worth talking to at all, and Ben Crompton doesn't want to talk to me (or, probably, anyone who isn't professing).
Strange because I've spent so long pondering Ben that I almost feel like I know him. It seems he's not a natural leader and exerts a very tight grip on things in one way, but a very loose grip in other ways. He's had the misfortune, along with Rob and Percy, to preside over things in England and Wales at a time when attendance at meetings has been dropping almost like a stone, and much controversy has arisen, with many hurt and angry people.
Some of the planning application documents for the Deanwood Holiday Cottages convention site in England (which replaced three closed conventions, leading to much bitterness) copied in Ben Crompton, Rob Pepper and Percy Watkins. Percy we know sadly killed himself. Rob is unwell, apparently due to feeling too much pressure in some way. That leaves Ben of the three, and he deals with things by not dealing with them. Ben's new deputy David Delaney does not appear to enjoy a great reputation.

When I knew DD many years ago he was a sound soft hearted straight guy. He didn't waver from the 2x2 teaching but, if allowed would listen to what you had to say. personally I think he would be told by Ben not to speak to you. I would not falter David's reputation - If let I am sure he would at least hear you out

I'm afraid to say and hate saying this but David Delaney , And some other head workers were the cause of nearly breaking up a marriage in Ireland last year over some crazy notion they got about marriage . I heard from a close source that the workers knew they got it wrong totally and blamed it on Tommy Gamble. They never even apologised to the couple. A national reporter got wind of it and were ready to do a huge piece on the paper about what these workers have been doing but the husband even tho he was wronged put a stop to it. So to get to my point stay miles away from David Delaney

Whenever I hear of a senior worker who people broadly agree is pleasant and helpful, he seems to be either deceased or incapacitated or impossible to contact. Very few of them will go against anything their overseer says, for that matter.

I believe they were sent to do Tommie Work and obeyed They then realized how stupid it was and David saw that the decision was contradictory of it self. So Tommie sent David to England because he questioned Tommie's command I may be wrong but if you don't tow the line you'll be sent away I believe Craig just hears him out on some things
