Just heard that the irish worker Stephen Landon was kicked out of work, what was his crime? Always did wonder about him, was a showpiece worker! Always loved the attention, was never going to last. I am saddened by the amount of workers messing up, the amount of people stopping going to meetings, is this a sign of the end times?

Just a sign of a much faster way of communicating and little secrets that could be hid for a long time can now be exposed & travel around the world in seconds!

It's more than likely down to the fact that the history of the sect and all its bizarre goings on are so publicly available now that only a fool would buy into the Only Way stuff these days. And without the lure of the Only Way there is no longer any reason for the disaffected to stay. Matt10

Seems as if the workers are falling alright. The Bible also says come out from among them. People leaving meetings is a sign that people are no longer willing to stand for half truths or corruption.

A person I am no longer acquainted with told me a few years ago that SL had been back in Ireland and had (as they put it ) a genuine nervous breakdown due to being a victim. He later returned abroad but could not stick it and returned home a sick man. He chose to leave the work of his own accord because of health reasons. I cannot elaborate as I don't know. The person who told me is the sort that had no time for TG so wouldn't think any cover up.

Heard whispers that he was meeting contacts in Columbia and [deleted]!! Also TG has seemingly told him he is in no longer in a position to get married!! The whole thing is nuts, if TG knew the real truth of fornication amongst the irish friends he would be appalled, a lot of families would have to be split up under his regime!! I say he needs to be retired!!

I haven't got a clue, when I was acquainted with the 2x2's in NI I heard of an extra martial affair with a separated woman alright but that was a one of as far as I knew What has your post got to do with SL - I just don't follow - Am I missing something. I have no one to ask

It's more of a matter of people finally finding out about when & where the *TRUTH* (called 2x2's) really began.

People leave because they've no need for God in their lives or don't profess in the first place because they've replaced God with busy lives and fun times. It'll be in the lonely watches of the night when they've no noise and party lights to distract, that some will begin to wonder what's beyond this life.

I doubt it. If you read the posts you will see many leave because they find out the truth about the truth. Some question if there is a God while others go on to serve God in a place where the truth is preached.
So people in meetings don't have busy lives and fun times? That's not my observation. Maybe get busy and have some fun times then.

The friends in Ireland have busy lives, the difference is, making time for God is important to them. Their fun times generally don't involve the things the world considers fun, but I don't expect you to understand that. By that I mean you're not one of the Irish friends.

My understanding is in Ireland they live the secret life. What the workers don't find out about doesn't cause any trouble or sermons. In other lands wine, cinema, concerts, stags / hens & sports (going to a match) would be normal while in Ireland it has to be kept hidden. That is what I've been told in the past. TG is in general ignored, even by the devout, as he was totally OTT. Ireland's 2x2 isn't made up of pure people but a lot of under the mesh no one knows, so have fun but don't get caught. Few would dare report you because you would have something on them. This is old view as i don't have any recent update

I went on a few holidays with professing lads who could party with the best of them for a week but still be ready for the meeting the following sunday.

Lively discussion, I have to say.
Reminds me of what one older brother worker mentioned one time to my grandfather, who was extremely troubled by it. The worker told him, "There's nothing better for you than to climb into bed with another man's wife." HAHAHAHA When I found out the woman was my cousin's wife, it wasn't so funny after all.
Please forgive me, but there seems to be something hilarious about the holiest of holies messing up in spectacular fashion.

So are you saying that they are Christians on Sundays only? Surely you can be Christian AND party, can you not? That opposite is not what I insinuated at all, in point of fact, one can regard themselves to be Christian and do all sorts of things. All parties are not sinful anyway, some might be.

It is very much part of human nature. It is visible in the military, in the Police forces and even in the teaching profession to some extent. An urge to demonstrate power and authority over others. Sometimes it is a case of don't do as I do, do as I say.

Well it should be the truth, the truth, and nothing but the truth, because God hates a liar. The truth should set us free.
