If you believe life is "randomly generated then the "onus " is on you. You don't need facts for what is unbelievable do we? Did anyone say that life is "randomly generated? No, I don't think so. Then life does have a purpose.

Did anyone say that life is "randomly generated? No, I don't think so. Then life does have a purpose. I was asking a question, -not making a statement about the subject at hand.
I asked if anyone had made that statement.
Sometimes I wonder if you are very careful in how you read a post before answering it.

I don't believe humans have any purpose. I also do not believe there are any facts to support the idea that man has more of a purpose than a flatworm. You are the one with a case to state. Go... Is it ok if I state what I believe, also, since you have not presented any contrarian facts? Since you have made the extraordinary claim it is up to you to provide the extraordinary proof. So far you have presented no facts to support your claim that there is a purpose to human life that is different from that of a flatworm. Of course, they, as do all life forms, do have a purpose. To perpetuate the species. Do you think humans will be around as long as flatworms? They have about a 269 million year lead!

Nice to know that tomorrow is forever. If you believe there will be parasites in eternity, you may be surprised .

I believe that human beings have the highest purpose of all living things, and the proof if very elementary , my friend, I'm sure you can do the proof for yourself , right ?!

Intelligent design contends we are intelligently created. R D says that it appears that we were intelligently created. Well if it appears so, then let's just go with it is intelligently created. ( but not from a space alien! Help us and deliver us.

Commonman, -if you believe that the only purpose for life is to "appreciate the eternal and beauty of God's plan for each of us," I wonder if you have any children or participated in the sexual act that produces children?
If so, -how does that seemingly overwhelming need to procreate within all life forms, -not just humans, -enter into your idea of the "purpose for life?"

It seems that we are getting close to a draw... Hard to say. You have yet to post a single supporting bit of data. And their contention has been disproved a number of time yet you cling to a fabrication. You are quoting Reader's Digest? Given your lack of interest in facts I say you should go for it.

so the big bang was planned? and evolution thinks? You lost me with that response. i said randomness was the essence of the big bang and evolution and you replied that was something i got from creationist(which i ASSume was meant to refute what i said) so my next reply is "was the big bang planned?" or "does evolution think? if they don't/aren't then they are random like i said other wise we come to God in the equation...

Except, wally; -"randomness" IS NOT the essence of evolution!
You are being told that by creationists who claim that evolution works on randomness, which is NOT true.
That is why people should study evolution then they would know for themselves and then they wouldn't be snookered by con artists.

I think most would say that among all possibilities the big bang that created the universe had the highest probability but that is just one definition of random. But you are right, it was not planned - just a probability. As for evolution - there's no thought. While the initial changes may be random their perpetuation is simply a matter of whether they increase the survival probability of the organism with the change.

Since there is absolute truth in the universe it had to have a creator of it.

my soul. Understood.
Something to satisfy one's perceived "soul," is one of the reasons that humans want to believe there is some divine something or someone that will do just that, (and give them eternal life as well).
However, that is a desire that needs to be seen for what it is but not necessarily true.

What is "absolute truth?"

What sense would there be, for the universe of material matter would be around, and around for a very long time, say at least 100000000000000000000000000 centuries.
And if there was no life to observe it and appreciate it, would there be a logical purpose in this kind of material existence ?
Do we know if things can exist , if we cannot appreciate them?
If all we see is materialism, we are missing out on an infinite amount of things that have been created , and have not been seen by human beings
we know so little about the vastness of all that had been created, it should keep us very honored and humbled to be a small part of this so great of a creation, that we know so very little about.

How does all of that prove the statement that you made that? You said, "Since there is absolute truth in the universe it had to have a creator of it."
How does any of your above post validate that statement?

People can theorize about the gradual development of any material. That could mean that there is a lot of unappreciated developments, but we do not know if that is true.
We do know there is absolute truth, otherwise there would be no order in creation.
Since there is order, there need be an Ordered Creator

Maybe your source for answers is proving what You want to believe. Just because we do not understand what the order is, does not mean it does not exist.
