G'day. Been reading other's posts, often with agonized empathy.
Re: Fred H's situation. I have known him since about 1961. It seems that accusations, the more horrible the better are a frequent source of establishing facts among such groups. Like myself, the last I heard, Fred was basically just existing, waiting for what lies ahead. Though he did not live so far away, I have been unable to keep in contact with him. I have never believed the accusations made against him, but then, who am I to even comment.
Jessie, thank you for pointing out what you have.
Over and over I have longed for someone, anyone, to point out the many fallacies in unproven accusations lodged against me in the past which I have proclaimed absolutely and totally false. May none here ever have to live with false accusations!

Notice no one has replied to this heartfelt post by Dennis. Firstly I'm sorry Dennis that you've been wrongly accused, I don't know anything about any if it, but it's an awful situation to find oneself in. Secondly thank you for hoping that others never have to endure what you've gone through. Thirdly your post made me think of this poem....
When somebody yields to temptation And breaks one of man’s or God’s laws, We look for no good in his make-up, But oh! how we look for the flaws! No one cares about how he was tempted, Nor praises the battles he’s fought; His name becomes food for the jackals -- For us who have never been caught.
“He has sinned!” we shout from the house-tops, We forget the good deeds he has done, We focus on that one lost battle, And forget all the times he has won. “Come, gaze at the sinner!” we thunder, “And by his example be taught That his footsteps lead to destruction!” Cry we who have never been caught.
I’m a sinner, O Lord, and I know it, I’m weak, I blunder, I fail. I’m tossed on life’s stormy ocean Like ships embroiled in a gale. I’m willing to trust in Thy mercy, To keep the commandments Thou’st taught, But deliver me, Lord, from the judgement Of saints who have never been caught!

Dennis you are a bit of a star! Thankfully I have never been accused of anything greater than dangerous driving, unpleasant enough and fairly easy to disprove, and I share your feeling with regard to false accusation- it is the very reason I came here originally.
I am essentially an atheist so I can't really say God bless you Dennis, but that is my sentiment. I enjoy your posts, long may they continue.

He who is without sin, let him cast the first stone; Dennis, is it any wonder that no accusers have come forward? We are all a sinful lot; false accusations are classified as sinful acts in my opinion, simply because if they are false then they are lies and it is written in scripture that God hates a liar. As I have often said on this forum, God is the righteous judge, so we must leave it in His hands. Dennis, God knows the truth so don't worry, if He is for you, who can be against you? Others just don't matter, they pale (fade away) into insignificance. Rest assured that God knows the truth, and that is all that spiritually matters, I wish for you, peace of mind, brother.

Hello.
We are not doing so well physically at this house. Looking for better days.
A comment regarding Communion "fluid." Once, in an unusual situation, the aged widow of the home where that service was held, found herself without any form of grape juice or grape wine. She did discover some grape koolaide and some black berry juice, mixed the two, with none the wiser. It bothered her conscience and so confessed afterward to what she had done. I merely asked if anyone felt any different than usual after partaking of it. One very sweet older woman ex-worker, spoke up and said "I rather liked it!"
So, I said case closed, we shall not speak of it again. Did not hear of it being ever mentioned, untl ths account , over 50 years afterward.
When in northern Sweden where no grape juice, nor even wine was available, black current juice was used. As it was a symbol anyway, none felt bothered, though when hearing of it some rather legalistic workers not there made much of it. Never bothered my conscience even once, but by then I had begun to grow less and less legalistic.
Now when gathered with other believers, or even just my lovely wife, on occasion we partake of those emblems. Yes, I know it is not "authorized" by someone. Simply no longer need that "approval."

Well my wife and I are here in th Uk celebrating our golden wedding anniversary with our children and grand children, ( four children and eight grandchildren) . Fifty years of marriage in a so called "divided home" my wife and children are Anglicans and I am Member of the so called F&W fellowship., born and raised. God is good, He has blessed our marriage and our family even though we are serving Him in different religious denomintions. I have peace of mind and the confidence and trust that the God of heaven is a righteous judge and that He will judge us all righteously when that time comes, as we look after our own salvation with fear and trembling, an imperfect people living in an imperfect world. Have a blessed day, everyone, hope that you enjoy or forbear with patience whatever you undertake to do, or encounter; remember patience can be a virtue; if in doubt , have a look again at the life of Job. Partaker Congratulations partaker! 50 years is amazing! It's great that you're here in the UK, not too cold at the moment either! How long are you here for, are you here for Christmas? When I go through trouble, I think of Job and how strong he was, and i think of the strength in Jesus and I know that God doesn't leave us and he strengthens us in times of trouble if we keep our faith. Everyone suffers in this world but it's good to suffer for the right way and to please God. I hope you have a lovely time whilst you're here. There's nothing like being together with family. And happy anniversary to both of you!

Good for you Partaker, Congratulations to both you and your wife.....and of course your family. Every day I'm reminded how much my children have a part in keeping our relationship strong. I'm also sure you both having a strong faith in God helps enormously, regardless of the denomination, shared or otherwise, God knows the heart and knows what is important to those that love Him. I love giving wedding anniversary presents, my friends celebrated 40 years just recently, they always say I shouldn't remember their special day, but to me in this day and age there are so few wedding anniversaries to celebrate!!!

Dennis, hope you have some relief from the ailments.
It's refreshing to hear that you take the emblems even with just your wife. I don't have any conviction about what is correct on that point, but none of us have the 12 to pass us the cup, so someone has to do it if we do participate. Maybe we are all anointed to do that. Like we are all supposed to remember Jesus and we all can go beyond the ripped veil. Thank you for bringing this up...it is thought provoking.

Thanks to you howitis from myself, wife and family for your greetings and for your kind and encouraging words, we do appreciate the support from others even though we have not met in person. It highlights the fact that there are still some very kind hearted folks in this world we live in, it convinces me even more than ever that there is a God of love and unity. Blessing on you and your family, and on all of God's children. It would be great if all religious folks in the world who believe in one God would unite peacefully even if they strive to serve him in different ways, this might happen if we learn to respect each other for His sake; He will be the final judge. I believe that religious wars and strife/ differences grieve the very heart of God, as it probably did in Old Testament times. My great fear is that if we are not careful the next world war might come about because of religious differences- Islam versus Christianity and other faiths. The scriptures foretell that things will get worse towards the end times. Sorry for expressing the rambling thought of an old man in his twilight years, Thanks for your kind wishes and your patience, may God truly bless you and yours. Partaker.

Thank you to those making kind comments. Katie is trying to cope with all the added stress in life because of chosing to being married to me. Like Ylva was, she is such a lovely woman, kind and caring for others. In just a few minutes we will be leaving for the Portland VA Hospital for my pending day surgery upon my eyelids so I can open my left eye enough to see, worsened after my stroke. Perhaps if all goes well, Katie's stress will lessen.
Yes, I know, I did not/do not deserve such lovely women as my mates. It makes me the more thankful for them. Actually prefer dying to burdening them or anyone else. Praying now to just pass on, leaving life to the well and living. Good bye now, for the present at least.

Being unable by old out dated OS to post to other threads here, must use this method to address them.
For those interested, though face about the eyes is thoroughly discolored and still swollen, am beginning to heal and can see out my left eye for the first time in a long long while. Am recovering from the fall on the steps as well. These old bodies surely respond differently than young ones! Katie is still coughing, says she is doing better.
Tasks must be done about the place, prayers for strength and healing greatly appreciated.
Which brings the next subject, "have you experienced God?" The answer here is most absolutely, else would believe obviously differently. Since sharing over and over in this forum why I do believe in God, there is surely no reason to repeat "why."
Do I expect everyone to believe the same regarding God? Absolutely not. Their experiences in life are not mine, nor mine theirs.
Best wishes to all for a happy new year.
