How is it that we pass from this earth, and it's toiling? Is it no longer "Only remembered by what we have done?" And all the rest of the words of that emotive song?
Certainly I fail, yet I know how I wish to be remembered, and equally certainly not for CSA! I do not "blame" my Lord for my sins, nor any of the other false accusations I frequently find heaped upon me.
Surely we can all beI very thankful that because we confess our sins daily, He has indeed shouldered them and forgiven them as He has promised. Nor am I trusting in anything of this flesh of mine to make me good enough to stand before Him in His righteous domain.

Forgive that you may be forgiven, and leave judgment to God. I know that it is not easy to forgive but sometimes we have to force ourselves to do it and very often we fail. That can be attributed to an unforgiving/ stubborn human nature, and the particular injustice we suffered at the hands of others we trusted., and which we regard as unforgivable.

I was brought up in an era, not to speak ill of the dead. Sadly times have changed, and that respect is gone. It is regrettable that hatred has taken over. The World needs more people with compassion. redback I understand that you are an ex member of the fellowship. I really appreciate this post and the other posts you have made on this thread! (and also the supportive post from Admin.) TMB would be a place where f&w would frequent if the nature of posts made were more like yours and less like the baseless and then also the off subject posts that have been made on the thread. Friends and workers would frequent TMB even more if they were not warned against dangers of internet and against talking about things that are unsettling and that bring into question the lack of transparency and accountability at level of overseership. Now, this is what I would prefer to more F&W coming to TMB: make TMB obsolete by allowing open discussion within the fellowship, by inviting input from the friends and lower-ranking workers in decision-making, and by upholding transparency and accountability in all matters.

faune,Bert is spot on, it was the Postmaster Generals Department, run by the Australian Federal Government. We completed 5 years training a lot of the time in PMG schools, and also field training. I started about the time John finished. His name was around on honour boards etc.It could be that he was dux of his year. At the end of our training the top 3% went to Radio, whilst the rest went to Telephony. John was part of that top 3% and worked as a Technician with Radio Australia. John was part of my inspiration, but I never achieved what he did. I note that there is some criticism of John, that he had a part in coverups. I think that he would have been complying with the culture of the 2x2 church, the same culture that existed in the Catholic church. It was protect the reputation of the church. John was so sincere he would do that . My Mother used to tell us don't do or say anything that would harm "The Truth", or harm "The Way". So I think it is a bit harsh to blame an individual. Blame the culture. The culture may be forced to change, because of the law. Those of us who did not agree have left, if we had of spoke out, we would have been asked to leave.
faune, thank you for your kind words, but life has been busy in other ways. My Wife is right into fibre art, and has a number of exhibitions going. I am the unhired help. I sometimes tell her she is like a cat with diarrhea, and needs 3 cats digging holes, and 3 filling in. I will stick to digging the holes, and let others do the filling in. Also age is catching up with me, so might not be here as often as I would like. Redback ~ You know it's always great to hear from you and to see your posts on TMB ~ even though they are sparse. By the way, if you are on Facebook, look me up and send me a Friend Request, won't you?
I also agreed with your statement underlined above. I feel it's just the culture and programming of the 2x2's down through the years that accounts for any cover-up of CSA or other scandals within the Truth fellowship. It's just part of their way of life and I don't feel we should blame the individual either. However, now that the laws have changed, perhaps the culture of the 2x2's will catch up eventually, too?

The World needs more people with compassion. When talking about someone is for the sake of gossip or slander, it is wrong regardless of whether the person has passed on or not. On the other hand, do we not teach our children through history lessons about those who committed great evils, hoping that those evils will not be repeated? Yes, we even name evil doers by name, even though and especially after they have passed on, and no one says that it shows "lack of respect for the dead." Or is it only "lack of respect" when we have personal ties with the dead?

Forgiveness. What did the Lord teach? Did He not teach if your brother (or sister?) trespasses against you go to him (her?) rebuke him (her?) and if he (she?) repents, forgive him (her?). He did NOT say, forgive him (her?) anyway.
We ask God to forgive us our sins as we forgive those who trespass against us. Do we not forgive anyone who repents (changes direction not just words) and are we not taught that unrepented sins will not be forgiven us?
It seems to me that many have corrupted this matter of Christian forgiveness. True, harboring unforgiveness harms the one doing so far more than the trespasser, however, surely that is another issue. The Lord Yahu'shuah simply did not say "forgive everyone and anyone." He knew what He was teaching.
Repentance is rethinking, reaching a different conclusion, then setting a new course. The Bible teaches that Esau found no room for repentance, though he sought it desperately with tears. So sorrow alone does not indicate true repentance. When I repent, I must desire change. Is that not true for everyone else?

It is sad when these older ones take secrets to the grave but they will stand before God with everything revealed. As for forgiveness, we can forgive and move on.We do not need the ones we forgive to accept our forgiveness. We lay down the burden when we forgive. We shake the dust from our feet on those that will not accept or be forgiven and choose instead to place more upon us but we can easily reject that burden too. I hope this man found forgiveness in his last hours......Dale

Is that not true for everyone else? that is absolutely true these verses also require the same consideration Mark 12:31 KJV And the second is like, namely this , Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. James 2:8 KJV If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well: very hard to do without Christ what you mention and the other verses are good for the measuring ones self against, to see if we can really come close to performing them

Your comment 'turns you on'implies that jscc1 should not follow through jumping on his grave because God is watching. God was watching the whole time jscc1 was being abused. The comment you made seemed unkind towards someone who has suffered immensely. Then reminding jscc1 that she has to answer to god felt like you were rubbing salt into a wound. ( presuming jscc1 is female)

( presuming jscc1 is female) i love words like implies and seemed because neither of them can portray truth but just for you i will show you the reason why i posted that i am also a person who was abused, i will not reveal by whom or how but just the fact that i was Dennis in his post wrote of forgiveness and i wrote of love two tenants of the doctrine of Christ and The Father, without those it is impossible to please God or receive forgiveness and love from The Father with those there is a release from the shame and the burden that that shame brings i have been there and i have proved those two tenants for myself what i wrote was not meant to bring any harm in anyway and i would do the same with any member of our Church it was meant as a warning but not done through meanness but for a deep seated need to pull from the fire a precious soul in the eyes of The Father and His children if jscc! took any hurt from the post i apologies

Thanks for that. I often dont explain completely what I say in text. The internet and phones take away from voice intonation and emotion and words can appear cold and clinical. I appreciate your answer.

I caused a bit of a stir sujesting I would jump on their graves. In our church and others involved in caring for abused women, young men and women,CSA victims, vulnerables, etc The damage to these lives, unrecoverable damage in many cases, little girls cowering in a corneror street doorway scared to even let a love filled lady put their hand out to touch them with a reassurence that there is someone to help that cares. So 2x2 worker criminal CSAs fit that discription,so many over the world are buried with dirt covering the truth of their violent destroying crimes. I am so glad the Henderson kids post has been removed it was so cruel for family and other victims to have read.

jscc1, my empathy and compassion goes entirely to the victims of CSA, not to those who commit such criminal deeds. If I knew for certain who such perpetrators actually were from my first hand knowledge, I'd believe their unrepented crimes should be recorded with their deaths. Problem is, only God knows if they altered their course in life or not.

Dennis, yes God is the final judge? bUT WHAT ABOUT THE CURRENT PREDATOR PAEDOPHILES STILL ROAMING AS gODLY AMONGST THE 2X2S MINISTRY? rEADY TO BREAK OUT AT ANY OPPERTUNITY? Paedophilia can sometimes be medically cotrolled, but it is sadly a lifetime burden in the form of a mental disorder. We ex victims, who have survived 2x2s Workers molesting and criminal rapings cant believe those still working workers are getting more sloppy attention than the compassion needed for their victims.

jcss1, agreed. For myself, without first hand knowledge of them, or even contact with workers for decades, all I can address is compassion and empathy for victims, and absolutely none for "perps." It is beyond my knowledge base to go further than that, so I simply must leave it to those and their loved ones who have been victims. How will justice be meted out in the next awareness? I have no idea, however my concept of a Righteous Spirit God dictates there will be a righteous outcome.
For us, sins are often considered by degrees of seriousness and consequences, no? Yet before a righteous just Spirit God, my concept of that which will set matters "right" is not in the degree of punishment for degrees of sin, rather forgiven or unforgiven. My concept of the justice in righteousness lies in the reward given to those forgiven souls in that realm. However, this is simply my perception of "how righteous judgment will/can happen." I really have no more right to explain such things than anyone else. I simply care for, have compassion on, and empathy for all victims of others abuse in life. In one form or another, I have been there, experienced it, wear the tee shirt as the saying goes.
