Thank you, xna!
What a great way to show how we can detect baloney!
Shermer is the the greatest! His column in the "Scientific American" magazine is the first page I turn to.

Not true, what about Mork and Alf? We must not forget them! Or last but not least ET. Must not forget him. They even did a movie about him. ....and then there are the many seasons of "Third Rock from the Sun."

You are all forgetting the series that was partially based on my near miss with an X-15 out near Edward's ABF.

Fascinating. Not the content of such drivel, nor that anyone believes it, but that anyone has the time to compose it and that there are others with time enough to read, much less take the time to even research it for any basis in fact!
Utterly amazing to me, but then I apparently simply do not have a superior enough intelligence level to even give it a credibility factor above zero.
There is no real time needed for research. If you have not made up the story and are not relying on false stories that others have told for personal gain all you have to remember is the truth. On Venus, if all of the various beliefs written about regarding this subject were assigned a credibility factor it would be more than 0 but closer 0 than 1. Nathan would have a credibility factor of 1. The rest of the group, on this subject, would have a credibility factor of very close to 1. New ideas have always been met with some push back! And is time truly wasted if it is a relaxing time conversing with a heterogeneous group?

Is Moses still looking for a date? What do you suppose he would think of Christian Mingle, he being a Jew supposedly?

Busy writing Dorthy William Irvine's sister Part II again, eh? Let us know when you're going to post Part II on TMB... make sure it mention on your title: This is NOT a true story, OK. RAM/You don't want to Upset a lot of people again.Nathan, I do not understand the references to all of these various people. Are they your advisers. If that is the case then you are being misled again. Now that the Xenrethd Day celebrations are coming to a close, once we finish the awarding of the honors I will have more time to explain how Frank S. and Phil S. took a simple story that I tried to tell and distorted it for their own private gain. I thought you were on top of this Nathan but it appears that you too were not immune to confabulated books and reports.

I have received 16,000 viewers in less than 2 yrs. on Valiant Thor, the most read article on my message board... Double the amount viewers than William Irvine in 1899 article. This does add some validity to David Hannum's quote that There's a sucker born every minute. If you put anything out for consumption, there will be people who will consume it. P. T. Barnum made a good living based on this fact. Put out a tag line advertising that you might have photos of Valiant Thor and others in the nude and you will increase the numbers of viewers even more! I don't think a nude William Irvine would have the same draw.

nb Moses spoke of Jesus. He would have fitted in well with any Christian group (well, a few maybe)

Yes, of course. And Moses also wrote his own obituary.

So would you also believe that because Issac Asimov , SCI-FIC writer, has sold 16,000 copies of his book The Foundation, that that makes his books true & not fiction?

No-one except skeptics would come to that conclusion. I am not sure if the bible itself said that Moses wrote the Torah. If he did, we take it for granted that he didn't, indeed, couldn't, have written it all.

Of the various science magazines I have read or subscribed to over the years I would give Scientific America a big miss. It has new owners, and it's philosophy is increasingly the baloney one of eco- fringe, left-wing, anti-religion and anti-capitalism. You don't get that in Nature, New Scientist, Wired etc..

Are you sure that your view is because that the Scientific America is telling you a truth about ecology you just want to accept?
As for religion and capitalism, -can you give any articles that even discuss those subjects?

Many of the viewers are my customers I meet at my work, whom I gave my website to. They told me what they think about Valiant Thor's article.... They love it so much that they forward my website link to their parents, friends, brothers, sisters, and friends... Some of them are church pastors, Christians, atheists, policemen, Private Investigator, people from all walks of life... So did many people "love" what Hitler and Stalin and just about every other nut in history wrote to the point that they preached it their parents, friends, brothers, sisters, and friends.
Does that somehow validate the truth of what they said?

They let the information speaks for itself...
2x2friendsworkers.proboards.com/thread/98/angel-god-talked-eisenhower-1957
I gave them enough information so they can do their own investigation for themselves. When you "let the information speaks for itself," it says baloney!

As for religion and capitalism, -can you give any articles that even discuss those subjects? No examples come to mind. But America suspiciously gets a mention in many eco and anti-nuclear issues. I don't mind eco issues, but when they appear ALL THE TIME in a magazine I begin to believe that magazine must be an eco magazine - not a science one. Review Sciam.com against nextbigfuture.com/today's NextBestFuture has this " France and Sweden show you can use more energy and be richer if you use hydro and nuclear power While Germany and USA use coal and natural gas and tell others to use less." You won't get that in Scientific America ---- anymore.

Except that Joshua didn't write the book of Joshua. thats what revisionist would have you think... Come on, Wally... What is your background in revisionist interpretations of the OT, say nothing about the actual "revisions" of OT scriptures? I expect you know as much about that as I know about building a nuclear power plant.

We must assume that the Torah was written or authorized by the Jewish Priesthood.
