Definitely a punishment. Not much of a cure, or defense against further offences.

Castration does not remove sexual libido. Men may still be able to have an erection after being castrated. However, castrating someone does make the ignorant feel better.

I'm all for caring for one another but I believe anyone why commits CSA or rape should not only be dealt with by the authorities and sent down, but they should also be castratred whilst incarcerated. And not only should they be castratred, but the whole organ should be taken away, then they can't do it again!
They are vile dirty beasts and should be dealt with accordingly! To me, that punishment fits the crime!

Google says otherwise "... castration can significantly reduce or eliminate sexual libido in men by lowering testosterone levels"

I read some cases last night that castrated men could still copulate. What I've seen. If you castrate them when they are very young these steers will not copulate because their genitals have not developed, and they have no testosterone, so they are not interested in the cows. When I grew up we kept a "teaser bull" which was castrated (clamped) when they were older. They still had their testicles and would mount cows when they were in heat but could not get them pregnant. We placed a white adhesive dye patch on their back in front of their tail. If the cow allowed the teaser bull to mount them, then this adhesive patch would turn red when the dye broke. This way you could then quickly tell which cows where in heat that day, so they could be artificially inseminated.

I think in humans the effectiveness of the castratio is age dependant as well. Did you use artificial insemination as well. The majority of dairy herds in NZ are done with AI.

Yes, we bought semen and did our own insemination.

I imagine the workers don't even think about castration. Will some today consider being a eunuch for the kingdom of heaven's sake? Matthew 19:12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.eunuch (a man who has been castrated)That is probably a time when they are really hoping it's 'just a metaphor'

A man doesn't need to have functioning gonads to commit sexual assault.

What I have learned many times on TMB is that when a certain person can't answer a question that they simply ignore it.

Wow that is so interesting. It will change so much about how movies are made and probably reduce costs. However, it's also scary because since they can take a piece of a picture and expand it into a real life type of scene you could also create a video that has anyone doing whatever you want them to do. It would appear absolutely authentic and truly could be devastating if done with malice towards someone.

An eternity we thought was elsewhere now calls out to us from every cleft in every stone, from every cloud and clump of dirt. To lend our ears to the dripping glaciers – to come awake to the voices of silence – is to be turned inside out, discovering to our astonishment that the wholeness and holiness we’d been dreaming our way toward has been holding us all along, that the secret and sacred One that moves behind all the many traditions is none other than this animate immensity that enfolds us, this spherical eternity, glimpsed at last in its unfathomable wholeness and complexity, in its sensitivity and its sentience. ~ Becoming Animal, David Abram

Alabama Supreme Court Rules Frozen Embryos Are Children"The Alabama Supreme Court ruled Friday the state will consider frozen embryos as “children,” allowing three couples to sue for wrongful death after a hospital patient allegedly destroyed their embryos. Once the patient had allegedly removed the embryos from the freezer, the couples claimed, the “subzero temperatures burned the eloping patient’s hands, causing him or her to drop the cryopreserved embryonic human beings on the floor, where they began to slowly die,” the lawsuit stated."
