I learned today that I don't bounce as well as I used to lol. Fell on ice and while I bounced just fine... I haven't bounced right back like I would have when I was younger. It's not good to fall hard when you already have 8 herniated discs! Note to self. Don't do that again!! ouch! i can only imagine the pain... BE MORE CAREFUL!!!!!!!

Snow, sorry to hear that, you are a bit young to be falling over. I do it all the time, it is not fun. But then I have an excuse, legs are a bit old. Bit hard to get new ones.
As long as we don't fall down a well, we will survive. Two blondes fell down a well. One says to the other one, “Isn’t it dark down here?” She replies, “I don’t know. I can’t see.”

What can I learn today Just read the news , noticed another prisoner was put to death . It was stated that he helped another kill 3 police officers . So lethal injection was given . We don’t have the death penalty in Canada 🇨🇦 Once upon a time we did . What is the 2X2 stance on this issue ? As one of the commandments is Though shall not kill ! Curious The United States is the only one of the Western Civilizations that still has the death penalty. But you will never find anyone that has a lot of money ever receiving the death penalty.
It is only those who having the money that are ever put to death.Capital punishment by country Here is a map; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_punishment_by_country

Yes but the ice was hidden under a new snowfall. I am more worried about my husband. Took him to urgent care at 3 am with difficult breathing. He wondered if his ribs had punctured a lung. His lung is okay, it's just his ribs are so sore he can't take deep enough breaths. I'm sore, but I'm used to it. Him... not so much Lots of groaning going on...

Apparently I bounce better than my husband though. It's me that's had to shovel the walks and driveways of my neighbor and I. He can't push a shovel. Bruised ribs are nasty. Seems like everything triggers a sharp pain. I am sore, and shoveling doesn't help, but I am more used to pain than he is as I have it all the time at some level or another.

We have a snow plowing contract for the driveway. No sidewalks to worry about. It's warm up into the high 50's this week. My crocuses are blooming and my daffodils and tulips are poking through the ground.

Lucky for you Annan, we are going into the cold, hate it. Can cope with the heat, but the cold really depresses me. Think I will stay in bed. It looks like there will be a few nasty bugs getting about as well, not going to be a fun time. I say, "Roll on Summer". youtu.be/7OZrNDtRltg

I do miss that about living on the island.

Snow, we don't get snow. Not that you would not be welcome. Only frosts down to about -10C. Too cold for me, I would die in your climate.

I don't do heat. We bought a house last June that has central air. I'm in heaven! The hubby wraps himself in blankets. I do like snow, but not ice. In my youth, our winters were 2-4 feet of snow that was soft and beautiful and hung around for weeks. We loved walking all over town in still quiet blanket of snow. Not the nasty icy sleet crap we get nowadays. I love living where we have four distinct seasons. If we ever won the lottery, the hubby would move south. Not me. He says he'd come back for hunting season in the fall. Lucky me!

Very few Aussies have enough indoor heating. More than one non-aussie has joked that the coldest they've ever felt is here! Yeah, we've already got fevers and autumn has hardly began. How people are going to know they've got Covid-19 is going to prove interesting! Bring it on!

There was an Aussie couple on the diamond princess who tested positive. The women had fevers like this man, while her husband had no symptoms at all! I'm not sure, because every article is differnt, but I think a sore throat might be rare with covid-19. If so that might be one way to differentiate it from the other winter ailments.

My adopted Brother found the Sister he never met since they were separated 68 years ago. It was a bitter, sweet experience for him, when they were reunited last week. His Sister has not got much time left, dying from cancer. She has been trying to find her two Brothers all her life.
My parents adopted my Brother when he was 12 months old. He had his first birthday on the day of his Mother's Funeral. My Mum's Sister adopted his Brother who was 2 years older. They started as Brothers became Cousins, never able to find 3 older members of the family. Because the Sister was dying, she made an appeal to the ABC for help to find her 2 missing Brothers. A teacher who taught my Aunt's Son heard the program, remembered the name, made contact with a friend an adopted Sister of her student. That person got in touch with my Brother. Complicated, but truly amazing. Made the tears flow as I read the stories, so glad my Brother met his Sister, but sad that she has little time left.
I know that Snow will relate to this, because some time ago we both found missing Family members. A truly amazing experience.

I am so glad she found her remaining living brother while she is going through her treatments. It brings such closure to finally find your family of birth. Even if they may not want contact, knowing makes all the difference. I have one brother in Melbourne that doesn't want contact, but he also doesn't have much contact with his mom, sister and brother, so I'm not surprised he'd be not wanting to know me who is just a reminder of our father that treated him so badly.

Yes me too. Have no way of knowing of course. I would think that if he was tested and tested positive they would let those who were in the urgent care at the same time as he was know what the results were if they were positive. My brother and sister in law are having a test tube sent out to their home yesterday to be tested. They phoned in and were told they have all the symptoms so they would send out a test kit to make sure. Haven't heard the results though.

I'm sure they would have let you know, if for no other reason than to isolate for a time. Hopefully the in-laws are all clear also.

I would hope they would let us know. Talked to them today and they are still both coughing a lot. My brother in law sounds like he has croup. I have always cringed when I hear that cough.
