God gave us a brain and expects us to use it. Sending cash in the post is a no brainer. A few dollars no problem, but $20 is hardly enough to call money these days. $20 doesn't even work with the grand children any more.

I admire your courage in admitting that, Wally. When I first encountered the website I thought it was a parody and had trouble taking it seriously.

That makes three 2x2s of which I have heard confess to (profess?) such: wally, NathanB, and bert. There might be one other, but I cannot recall the name.

The beliefs and practices that you mention seem to be more about the traditions of man rather than about the teachings of Christ. If this is an accurate depiction of the fellowship in North America then, in my view, it's a sorry state of affairs.

I think it is Wally's honest effort, so I think that it is commendable for both courage and effort.

I also think it's a shame that the emphasis of the ministry in North America seems to be on promoting traditions of man rather than on cultivating a Christian spirit.

The website minimises the truth. Someone did not try to incorporate the group. They, meaning the head worker did it, no trying about it, he did it - period. It caused a stir so he changed it. See the irony of this statement. •Many like to donate money through the mail as it allows you to remain unknown and makes the gift more special. Matthew Chapter 6: 3-4 So the author of the website is saying that they send cash through the mail? Either the writer is naïve to suggest such a thing or the people sending the money seem a bit foolish to me sending cash through the mail. The only other explanation is that it is sent by check which has the senders name on it which is not anonymous at all. The website is full of statements which sound like a puppet reciting things he had heard and not thought through. Same old stuff which no longer fools a thinker. Money has always been sent in letters tothe workers. They really ddon't like to get checks because without a bank account its hard to cash a check. Money orders would be all right but still workers would have to know where to go to cash those in. Used when workers stayed in our area I or another friend would cash their checks for then.. Then it was in our backs if the check was no good.
