It's true. You may have known the late sister worker Marilyn Wheeler, but what you probably didn't know is that she got every last dollar that my mom, my brother, and I had, and she also got our property...
She must have had it in for us... first she financially devastated my mom, then me, and last of all my brother... We lost all of our property to her also... it was horrible, but when she got our railroads, that was too much...
After that, we didn't play Monopoly® with her anymore... ;D

Don't play Life with her, anytime soon! Life? Don't you mean Monopoly? Think that was a tip of the hat to the phrase "the late Marilyn Wheeler."

"Life" is a board game - probably why quizzer capitalized it mid-sentence.

Never had an English Grammar - mine were Dutch and Norwegian. Interesting, pretty much the same mix as mine (genes, not grammar). Half Dutch, one quarter Norwegian.

Wow! I'm starting to think that I'm not related to anyone on TMB! Join the club: as far as I know, I'm not related to anyone here or elsewhere. I call our family the Dodo Bird family. I could have picked some other extinct bird but Dodo seemed to fit better~

I don't stray over here much, but I nominate ranman's OP for post of the week. We need a laugh or two in there. Hope noels sees this one. (I like the way the whole thing made sense until he mentioned the railroads. Nicely done.)

Life? Don't you mean Monopoly? Think that was a tip of the hat to the phrase "the late Marilyn Wheeler." There is a game called "Life"....it similiar to monopoly in that the game mimics a lot of every day life....I used to get so tickled at a young man that later went into the worker and became overseer....when he played that game with some of us, he'd fuss all the way around about having to pay for having a wife and kids....so one day he happened to hit all the right spaces and ended up with a wife and 8 children....his little car would hold only 6 people so he had to keep them piled on top of each other and when one would fall off when his turn came around, he'd say "Hold it, now hold it...guys I've got to stop here on the edge of this Life's highway and repile my wife and 8 children. " Then when the game was over he said he wasn't playing that game again nor was he going to have a wife and 8 children! LOL

Wow! I'm starting to think that I'm not related to anyone on TMB! I told this to my wife and my daughter. After their jaw hit the floor they hit the ceiling. It was difficult to maintain a straight face very long. So when I laughed they hit me.

You know you're getting older when you read a surprise joke you've never seen before, have a good laugh, and then find that you had previously posted on the same thread some months before.
